Smexy’s Top Ten–December 13th

December 13, 2013 by Mandi 25 Comments

xmasmiracle10. There will be no Christmas miracles in the Smexy household this year.

marriedforxmas9. Speaking of Christmas miracles, I enjoyed a contemporary romance featuring a pastor hero called Married for Christmas by Noelle Adams. Let me stress, this book is not an inspirational romance. Recommended by Ruthie Knox, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The hero’s wife died two years ago and in order to be considered for a new pastor position, he needs to be married. His best friend for the past two years aka the heroine, is a loner who is secretly in love with the pastor but more so  – just wants to be settled and start a family. It’s her idea to get married..as friends. And they do to start the book. The hero must really come to terms with his first wife dying and his intense feelings he has for his new wife. This book has sad moments, hurtful moments but also very romantic moments. I truly believed in his new love for the heroine at the end of the book. Also – I want more Pastor romances!!!

Right now it’s $.99 but increasing soon. Also fun note – Noelle Adams is the pen name for Claire Kent, who wrote Escorted (a book I realllly liked)

theking8. JR Ward has released the first line of The King. HOLD ONTO YOUR PANTS:

“Long live the King.”

Okay, so not that exciting. A few other tidbits – per Ward, “Xcor is very defo in The King.” And Lassiter plays a pivotal role. (Yay!) And we see a lot of Trez.

Release date has been moved to April 1st.

firstkiss7. The first Fifty Shades of Grey kiss! SOOO hot. (snort)

But listen up, I have some real news for you. Jamie Dornan aka the dude to play Christian, will go full frontal in this movie. If you are wondering why we should be excited about this, look at this modeling pic. Let’s just hope this is more impactful than Michael Fassbender’s “sad peen” in Shame.

chocolate6. You guys. Don’t panic but PANIC. According to Cosmo magazine  (and thanks to Bells for bringing this to my attention) chocolate will run out on October 2, 2020. Like – all chocolate. According to this VERY scientific article, “Experts have worked out we need 2.3 globes to accommodate man’s needs for chocolate in terms of forestry and space. We need another Earth, basically, if we carry on at this rate.”

Can we please find another Earth?? There has to be one out there. And the future without chocolate – it looks like this – “So what will we be eating instead? Experts predict smaller bars, filled with raisins, biscuits, nougat and nuts.”

Shove all the Christmas fudge you can into your body this December. TRUST ME.

This also means no more Santa – surprise it’s a peen – chocolate bars .The world is unfair.

tatertotawesome5. Speaking of food that needs to get in mah belly – tater tots and cheese dip. Take a moment. First of all, 25 Cheese Dips you need to make. Who can resist a warm, gooey cheese dip??

And because that won’t give you enough calories, I had tater tots for dinner a few nights ago and I tweeted about it because it was damn exciting. Then I learn that there are tater tot casseroles I could be consuming, called a Hotdish. I feel comforted just typing about it.

Look, it doesn’t take much to make me happy. A little cheese, some tater tots, Jamie Dornan full frontal. My life is complete.

4. Jamie Dornan isn’t the only ‘Jamie’ getting me all excited. Let’s not forget, Jamie Fraser aka the hero from Outlander, which is currently filming as a television series. The actor that plays him, has done a cute, quick video on how to pronounce Sassenach.

This clip makes me VERY excited for this movie for some reason.  I demand my husband call me Sassenach. And wear a kilt.

grinch3. This is cute. AND smart.

2. This just makes me smile. WestJet airline does something really cool and brought a lot of holiday cheer to their passengers. I love things like this around the holidays.

1. It’s suppose to snow here again this weekend. We never get snow like this before Christmas. Crazy! On Sunday we are off to see the new Hobbit movie at the IMAX theater. Excited! Hope you all have a lovely, cheerful weekend. I’m getting a sneak peek at the new Cherrie Lynn book, Take Me On. I’m hoping for lots of smexy times!

    No more chocolate? I….*thud*

I will watch FSoG movie just for the full frontal scene. Haters be damned.

I bought Married For Christmas. I hope I get to this weekend.

I love the cover of The King. Though, I have a funny feeling that’s not Wraith pictured. If Ward messes ard in here, I’m done.

There will be no Christmas miracles in the Browning household this holiday either. Wine’s the only way I make it through December :-).

How are you getting on with those sassenach and kilt demands, Mandi?

Also, sorry to tell everyone that chocolate might run out even earlier than previously anticipated due to me bulk buying ALL OF IT and burying it under Casa Black. Anyone wanna get on my good side – think about doing it now ;)
