News from Mandi: I don’t a ton of news to report this week. I read both Night Broken and Ball & Chain but reviewed them above. Otherwise I DNF’d Artist’s Touch by Kerry Adrienne. It’s a m/m with one hero I really didn’t like. I’m going to post a DNF review for it this coming week.
I also read Bittersweet Rescue by Coleen Kwan and found the hero to be very unlikable. Not romantic at all.
I read and really enjoyed Carolina Home by Virginia Kantra. Well done small town setting, a very strong romance and a good balance with a look into the family. I can’t wait to start the second book this week.
I’m almost done The Pirate’s Secret Baby by Darlene Marshall and enjoying a lot. It’s very cute. I’ll be reviewing soon.
Next up is Satisfaction by Sarah Mayberry and Sweet Disorder by Rose Lerner. Excited for both.

I just finished a book from an author I really like in person (I actually met her) and it was I think supposed to be a fun chicklit, but I just thought it sad. The ending was not enough to make me smile again. So that left me with a kind of depressed feeling, and I hate that.
