Smexy’s Top Ten-April 4

April 4, 2014 by Tori 14 Comments

Mandi is gone. AGAIN. She’s always going off to do fun exciting naughty things and leaving me at home. ALONE. I think she is cheating on me. In fact, I have PROOF!

See? Who IS this man? She thinks I don’t know…but I do. *sob* Whatever will I do now?? How will I survive this cruel betrayal…oh hai, it’s David Beckham!

david-beckham-swimwear_GB10. David Beckham is one finnnnne man. Here he is modeling his new line of swimwear for H&M. I wish I was that swimsuit. Did I say that out loud? Read more about it here.

Jury-of-your-Peeps9. Easter’s almost here and that means Peeps. I personally do not like Peeps (hold on to the hate there, haters) but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate fine Peep art. :)
I bring you the Peep Dioramas courtesy of Lincoln Lawgs– an informational/help website for Illinois Law Students. The best peep diorama won $100 gift certificate to the official Peeps Store website and a Just Born Gift Box.

Peter McGraith and David Cabreza8. Aren’t they handsome? Peter McGraith and David Cabreza, long time partners of 17 years, were finally able to marry each other when England and Wales legalized same sex marriage on March 29, 2014.

Love is a beautiful thing. :P

408_4_0_01_444x2507. I’m not a huge television watcher but the one show that has me glued to the telly every week is Shameless.

Shameless is a comedy drama based on the dysfunctional Gallagher family. Set in Chicago, every week brings you a new installment of a crude, unapologetic, and darkly funny saga that identifies and examines the bonds that tie a family together. You will laugh while cringing as you watch Frank Gallagher, the patriarch, scam, drink, and lie his way to money while his children survive as best they can. No topic is off limits and no boundary can be pushed far enough. It’s a weekly train wreck that I love.
post-23972-NPH-WHY-WHY-WHY-gif-HIMYM-Imgu-L7QW6. Speaking of shows. How I Met Your Mother aired it show finale this week. We FINALLY learned who Ted married.

All I can say is I can’t believe I wasted 9 freaking years for THAT! We were conned, people. We were conned.

fassbender5. Belated birthday shout out to Michael Fassbender. Stay sexy, you magnificent ginger beast!

177032904. The King by JR Ward released this week to squees, pleas, and a few HUHs?? Mandi has a nifty recap on the blog today. Go HERE and tell us what you thought.

Capture3. I’m addicted to this game and CAN’T STOP. http://gabrielecirulli.github.io/2048/. Thanks, Mandi. 0_O Like I don’t have enough time wasters on my computer.

HOW TO PLAY: Use your arrow keys to move the tiles. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one! The object of the game is to join the numbers and get to the 2048 tile. You can download it to play it on your iphone too.

rs_600x600-140312105856-600.gus-and-me-keith-theodora-richards-book2. Keith Richards is writing a children’s book.

*blinks*

Little Brown Books for Young Readers announced on Tuesday that it would publish Mr. Richards’s  “Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar,” as both a hardcover book with a CD and an ebook on Sept. 9.  The book will recount memories of he and his grandfather, a jazz musician who encouraged Richards musical aspirations.

brt1. The BeardSwipe. Brought to you by iStrategylabs, the BeardSwipe app is the latest in facial recognition. *giggle* All you do is rub your phone over your beard to unlock your phone. Genius!!

What better way to ensure your private calls stay private. You can see more HERE.

From the website:
According to their website, “Your beard is one of the best password in the world. It’s always with you and no two are exactly alike. BeardSwipe lets you unlock your phone simply and effortlessly.”

Yes, this was an April’s Fool Day joke but seriously, it almost makes me wish I could grow a beard.

Oh goodness the HIMYM finale was something alright. I get that the creators had a story they wanted to tell and they ended it they way they wanted it ended. However I think finales (especially sitcom finales) should be a celebration of what the show has been and not so much a time to show how everything changes for beloved characters. For me a series finale like this one was more about the surprise factor and not about letting fans say goodbye. After 9 years we really deserved that instead a giant feeling of WTF.

Sorry for the mini rant :)

That’s how I felt. I wanted a wrap up, not a whole lifetime squeezed into an hour or so.

I REALLY like Shameless. It’s nasty, raw, funny, sad, pathetic, yet filled with hope.
