10. Three day weekend is upon us y’all! I’m walking 30 seconds to my neighbor’s house for a BBQ. I hope she is providing food and other guests ;)
9. The beard. THE BEARD. Step it back ladies and gents. I get first dibs on stroking….his beard among other things. (It’s also not fair how gorgeous the heroine is). Looking forward to this one! See more at Lauren’s site.
8. Somehow I missed Bad Boy Bingo at RT – and a cover model ended up reading a very sexy excerpt from a book – all caught on camera. Beware there is bad language – and his shirt comes off at some point *wink* Fun.
7. A round up of some book news: Lisa Marie Rice will be writing two more books in her Midnight series with Carina Press starting in August! Happiness! Three Nights with a Rock Star cover was revealed this week. I want! Samantha Young announced that Cole will be the hero for the fifth book in her On Dublin Street series. You can enter to win an Arc of Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews.
6. Becks shared some pictures on his Facebook Page from his recent trip to the Amazon. It’s not fair he looks this good. Looks like this trip will be a documentary on BBC One in June.
5. Speaking of athletes and their butts (I mean – at least that is what I was thinking about) Buzzfeed ranked which sport makes athletes butts look best. The winner? Baseball players, with soccer and figure skating coming in second and third. I have to say the baseball butt is a pretty good thing. And better yet – I think baseball players touch each other’s butts a lot. I’m pro men touching other men’s butts. For the full list of 18, go here.
4. I have two boys and Legos are a big deal in my house. I came across this really cute Facebook page created by a couple who live in Australia. They love to travel and they love legos, so they photograph this lego couple on different adventures. It’s really cute and made me smile.
Could they be any cuter?? They have an Instagram too.
3. Jimmy Kimmel put out a new edition of celebrities reading mean tweets about themselves. This always makes me laugh! (and no, it’s not funny if you send me mean tweets! *wink*)
2. I came across this quote on twitter, and it really struck me. I can’t stop rereading it. I’ve never read Sherman Alexie and I don’t know what context this quote comes from (it’s from a book called, The Toughest Indian in the World). but it has really stuck with me.
1. It’s the weeeeeeekend! While you read this, I’m at field day with my boys at their school. I hope there is a cold beer in my future! *wink* This weekend I’m reading Sun-Kissed by Laura Florand – yay! The hero and heroine are in their fifties so I’m intrigued.

Sherman Alexie is awesome! My favorite is still the short story collection THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO FISTFIGHT IN HEAVEN, but he also has a very cool (heartrending yet funny) YA called THE ABSOLUTELY TRUE DIARY OF A PART-TIME INDIAN. I saw the movie version of THE BUSINESS OF FANCYDANCING, but haven’t read his poetry collection that inspired it.
WHAT, no hockey rump on that list? Admittedly, the pants kind of hide it sometimes, but there’s no contest. Guys skating backward, goalies in the butterfly–hell, defensemen stop pucks and bodycheck each other with theirs! And there are still plenty of pats and such…I even saw one wise-ass goalie SWAT HIS DEFENSEMAN’S ASS with his stick once in practice, God love him.
And with my minifig obsession, I need to check that Lego page out…

I love Lego fan sites – my problem is I stumble on wonderful ones and then can’t remember them…. I know, there’s technology to help with that!
My son made a Lego Shirtless Cover Dude for me. There are shirtless Legos, but they’re not anatomically correct – no “flat pennies” of romance cliché. It was the ten-year-old boy version of Jon Scalzi’s reenactment of cover poses.
