This December, Rhenna Morgan is releasing Unexpected Eden. The blurb:
Paradise, love and power…and a prophecy with a price.
Most people believe Eden no longer exists. Lexi Merrill’s about to learn they’re wrong. A hard-working bartender with a self-sufficient backbone and a wary nature, she knows pick-up lines like it’s her second language. So, when Eryx Shantos barges into her world with too-smooth words and a body to back it up, she locks up her libido and vows to keep her distance.
Eryx has other ideas. As king of the Myren race, Eryx is duty-bound to prevent exposure of their existence to the human world. Yet The Fates have led him through his dreams to Lexi, a temptation he doesn’t want to resist. The question is, if she’s human—that makes her forbidden fruit.
When Eryx’s enemy tags Lexi as his next target, Eryx takes her back to the one place he can keep her safe—his home. Except that Lexi had no idea “home” would mean the land of creation—or that she would trigger a prophecy which could doom her newfound race.

I was able to meet with someone from Lyrical Press (which is now part of Kensington) at RT and we thought it would be fun for the Smexy readers to choose which cover you prefer for this book. Your options are:

No hair. The Fabio vibe is strong in the 2nd cover.
May says
No hair! #nofabio #no80s #baldishot #lovechesthair #lovebeards
Lege says
Hmm, I voted no hair as well…. but is it just me or it’s really different guy on the cover? NoHair dude has thinner lips and he has 5 o’clock shadow…
Hair dude looks like Paul Marron (hey, I’m a romance reader, I know Paul’s face really well :D ) and I always liked his short hair covers better. :D
blodeuedd says
I do want hair but NOT that hair
Kaetrin says
Yes, what Blodeuedd said.
Sheena says
In this picture- I think no hair
But I love hair! :p
Katie says
He looks too femmy with all the hair.
Mary Ellen Quigley says
I say no hair. The hair makes him have the Fabio look.
Christine Ashworth says
The long hair just looks fake. If it were his REAL hair, it would look better, but still – yeah, no. Like someone else said, the Fabio vibe…
JO says
Great cover, except for that top left corner. Normally I’m all for long hair on men, but his looks fem, fake, and like if you followed it up, it’d be a comb-over.
It’d almost be worth the girly hair to keep the stronger, sexier features hair-dude has. This guy’s supposed to be king of his race, a warrior, right? The no-hair face doesn’t come across as king warrior material. Weak chin & thin lips or great lips & girly hair?
I vote no hair and hope his shoulders and that hint of abs distract readers from his face.
Tabs says
Yeah, it’d be better with like manly viking hair instead of wind-swept Fabio hair.
Lindsayb says
I vote no hair, which is odd for me because I love men with long hair. The hair on this cover looks a little fake to me.
Juliette Cross says
I’m going with no hair. Though I do love long hair, too, the top guy looks more BA. However, luscious locks also has some luscious lips. Mmm…
Elinor Aspen says
Longhair’s head and neck look badly photoshopped onto the body. His head is a bit too small for that torso.
Selena Mc says
I like long hair on a guy sometimes, but this hair is too feminine. Looks like he should be on a windy Pantene commercial ;)
Paula Millhouse says
Definitely the cover with the hair. So Sexy!
Patti (@lovesfabromance) says
I think the hair makes for a more striking cover, but for some reason his face looks like Sylvester Stallone with the hair. I don’t know why…
Mandi says
I kind of like the hair!
Pals20 says
I came here hoping for a chest hair or no chest hair poll… Bring back the chest hair…
Elinor Aspen says
I’m with you. The waxed look is getting old. My personal pet peeve: waxed body with stubbly face. Facial hair with no body hair is just wrong.
Rhenna Morgan says
Thanks for voting and commenting everyone! Following the numbers and commentary has been great! (Seriously, the family is tired of me checking the Smexy Books site for an update.) And thanks to Mandi for hosting! The feedback helps a lot!
