Favorite Quote: “That’s my grandmother’s house you’re living in!” His patience was decidedly becoming strained from having the woman shoot at him. Dammit, he saved her life, he deserved a reward, not having his head blown off.
“She’s not your grandmother anymore, she’s mine!”
“You can’t confiscate my grandmother!”
Ahhh at last. The story of Rachel Porter and Cash Adams. Rachel is a self-proclaimed country bumpkin who wields a shot-gun and knows the back woods like the back of her hand. Oppressed Fiercely protected by her three older brothers, Tate, Greer and Dustin, Rachel’s fight for her independence is formidable. Cash is the Last Rider we’ve been waiting for. One of the strongest personalities in the peripheral, his long-awaited feature novel reveals one of the most dynamic heroes of the series.
Rachel has loved Cash for a long time. She met him in pigtails, mooned over him as an adolescent and as a young woman was powerless to extinguish her flame for him. Rachel has spiritual healing powers inherited from her full-blooded Cherokee Indian great- grandmother and when Cash is nearly fatally injured after an unfortunate chain of events following their first night of passion, Rachel calls upon her healing powers to save Cash’s life. She gives so much of herself to save him that when he recovers, all that is left is a Rachel who is guarding herself most fiercely against him and the pain she knows he is capable of inflicting on her heart.
Cash finds himself in the fight of his life… for his life. His disadvantages are numerous. He has decided that Rachel would be HIS and her brothers hate him due to an ugly, long standing family feud. The unreasonable Porter brothers would sooner see Cash dead than with their sister. After embarrassing and abandoning Rachel in the worst manner, publicly, Rachel has decided that Cash is not the man for her and there is a new motorcycle gang looking to set up shop the next town over and the consequences could mean war for the Last Riders. The deck is stacked against Cash and the only way to win is to come out swinging. Good thing he is handy with those brass knuckles and those sinful hands….
“And what if I say no?” Rachel objected to his high handed treatment.
“I’d stop when I heard it. I haven’t heard it yet, though. Do you really want to tell me no, or are you worried about what that good girl inside of you is trying to tell you? Tell her to fuck off. You owe me a blowjob, and you’re going to pay up…I’m certainly willing to return the favor. His hands went between her thighs…”
Cash was so dynamic! He is all alpha male, but he tempers his controlling and bossy behavior with comical and cunning stealth when it comes to showing Rachel that she really ought to just get used to being his. He owns all of Rachel’s firsts and will be damned if she saves any part of her for another man. Cash forges a truce with her crazy ass brothers to get the green light to court her properly. He takes the advice of his ailing grand-mother, Mags, and plots to tie Rachel to him emotionally, physically and biologically, by any means necessary. Seriously, a highlight of the story, and it had me in stitches, is when Cash sets out to execute Mag’s advice to gain Rachel’s heart. (heh heh).
“Don’t worry, you won’t get pregnant. I’ll use the rhythm method.” His cock filled her slowly, his movements gradually building until the bed was shaking from the power of his thrusts.
“I…” Rachel licked her lips, “I don’t think this can be considered…”she tried to remember exactly why she was fussing at him. His bare cock felt so good inside her…
Rachel was awesome. She was tough but had such a heart. No one saw her goodness and selflessness better than Lily, who in an amazing scene, calls Cash’s ass to the carpet on his haphazard handling of Rachel’s affections. Rachel really kept it honest and real. Her reactions to the club life felt so genuine! I admired how she was possessive of cash and made no apologies nor made nice with the women he bedded. Unfortunately, Cash was a hound dog….he has bedded nearly every girl in town which also contributed to Rachel’s wariness and trust. How they overcome this particular hurdle is realistic and made me want to high five Rachel!
This wouldn’t be a Last Rider novel if it wasn’t smoldering in the sex and sensuality department. My GAWD, when Cash took Rachel’s virginity I had to take a break and nominate my damn self in the ALS Icebucket Challenge just so I could cool the hell off! Begley pulled NO punches with the carnal pleasures. Cash is a big, sexy biker with a hint of Shade’s own predilection….more than once I wondered if poor Rachel knew what she was in for when taking on Cash Adams.
“He fucked her harder, sucking her nipple harder to torment her. He played with her body until she called his name out over and over. In the past, he had always preferred women to be silent when he had sex with them. Her whimpers of arousal almost made him come but he controlled his climax with an iron will.
“You’re mine and no one else’s, Stay away from Scorpion, Patrick and Charles.”
“All right!” she gasped as he sucked her other nipple into his mouth.
It was enough for tonight. Sliding his hand down, he slid a finger between the fleshy lips, brushing across her clit, giving the stimulation she needed.
“Cash!” When she screamed his name as she came, he let his own control go, pumping inside her until his own release stormed her body. He had every intention of keeping her by any means. Fair or foul, his little vixen was going to find herself trapped.
Cash’s Fight is such a quick and enjoyable read I was disappointed when it ended. There are a couple of directions the author can go in, so it was not glaringly obvious who would be next in the series. I believe it will be Dean/Lucky & Willa, but there were many instances where we got major… exposure to Train and I find myself very interested in what exactly his story is. Sweet, shy Willa has a life changing event that had me spitting mad! I need answers/assurances regarding her future ASAP! It is very safe to say I may be social network trolling until I receive them! There was a hint of something between Holly and Greer but it seems to have fallen to the background for now. Shade as a father-to-be is something to behold…if you thought he was fierce with his Lilly…he is a force when it comes to the love and protection of his unborn child. It is masterful how the author weaves in the prior character’s lives into each new release. There is even a battle of the sexes confrontation that was simply delightful! Did I mention is was supremely provocative and entertaining? Well it is! Damn I love this MC!

I adored this one. Rachel and Cash were perfect together. She only gave him enough rope to hang himself…which he does over & over again. I cried laughing every time Rachel made little snarky comments, reminding Cash he’s just not that special.

I am new to Jamie Begley and glad I was given the opportunity to wait. Why? Because I got to read all the books one after the other and surprisingly I couldn’t put them down. HELL!! I can’t put them down. I always go back for more. They are so raunchy and romantic and downright sexy I can’t get enough of them. My only problem (if I can call it that) is that all the women are Christian women and go to church every Sunday. I find this a little “hard to handle” but luckily I don’t have to think about that. We’re down to the last three books and I just hope that Jamie has another series coming out because I just can’t get enough of these books.
