Wow this is a dirty book. Like, epically dirty. I’m not even sure I can include a quote without shocking half of you (okay shocking maybe ten of you – dirty readers)
Carrie works in a recruiter’s office, but her passion – maybe better said, her compulsion – is to take erotic photos of herself and post them on her blog. Using the name Maggie and never showing her face, she takes all sorts of pictures from sexy lingerie, to sex toy play, to naked and doing things to herself. She gets a thrill from each (and many) comments. It’s always on her mind and she can rarely make it through a day without taking a photo at work…which is how she gets in trouble. One day, she sneaks over to an empty office across the hall, and gets a bit carried away. She posts a picture that shows a tower in the background out the window. Later she gets a comment from a man that says he knows exactly what building she is in. *cue the creeper alert!*
But not really. I mean, maybe in real life, posting these photos and then having a stranger know where you work and ask to meet you would be creepy. But in romance land it’s kind of hot.
Brendan is obsessed with Carrie’s blog (okay, maybe a little creepy) and finally convinces her to meet him at a coffee shop. They have about one cup of coffee before he is back at her apartment sexing her up. Don’t judge now! Carrie held out for a little bit.
From here, this entire book is sex. It’s hot and the author writes very descriptive scenes that flow well. I wouldn’t call the sex repetitive but it’s very plentiful. This is a novella length, so it’s a quick read. This author’s voice reminds me a lot of Jane O’Reilly, if you’ve read her. I liked it, but I needed more depth and storyline too. I wanted to know why Brendan was so attracted to and falls for Carrie. I needed to dive into his character more. I’m all about the dirty sex, but I like to see characters evolve and a scene without bodily fluids being mentioned *wink*
But I’ll read more of this author.
