Smex Scene Sunday

Trix changed her name and her life when she got clean four years ago. Now, she has a new family and a job she loves—tending bar and dancing at the Broken Circle. As an O’Kane, she’s happy, untouchable. Until a nightmare from her old life tears her away from her home and drags her back to Hell—also known as Sector Five.

Losing Trix was the kick in the head Finn needed to get sober, but working as an enforcer for a man he hates is slowly crushing his soul. The only thing that keeps him going is his determination to destroy Sector Five from the inside. Then Trix comes back into his life—alive, in danger—and nothing else matters.

Getting her home could be a suicide mission. The only thing deadlier is the old spark that flares to life between them. Soon, Finn and Trix are battling the one addiction neither of them ever managed to kick—each other. And it could cost them everything.

“Take more of it. Take me.”

She did, licking him one more time before parting her lips. He trembled with restraint, and she drew him in gently, slowly.

At first. But the moment he tightened his fingers—just a little, and probably not on purpose—she sucked him deep into her mouth. Hard.

“Fuck.” His fingers dug in, holding her in place as he panted. “Just like that. Don’t fucking stop.”

She obeyed, keeping up the same pressure even as she deepened the caress. But her hand was in the way, so she dropped it and clutched at the back of his calf. “I remember this,” he said hoarsely, rocking back and returning, fucking her mouth in slow, careful strokes.

“I remember trying to pull you back so I wouldn’t hurt you. And you’d take all of me.”

Because he made her greedy. No matter what he offered, she knew in her heart that she would always want more.

Always.

She met his next thrust eagerly, and the head of his cock hit the back of her throat. Trix fought the urge to tear away and swallowed him instead. He rewarded her with another tortured, pleased noise, with his fingertips rubbing encouraging circles against her head.

“Just like that.” He held her there for what seemed like forever before drawing back, only to push deeper the next time, his grip edged with the same roughness as his voice. “You can take it, can’t you, baby? You can swallow my whole damn cock.”

Yes. When he tried to retreat again, she followed him, pulling against the hold he had on her hair. She kept him in her throat as long as she could, until her lungs burned and her head began to swim, until she had to break away and gasp for breath.

But when she tried to take him again, he tightened his fingers, wrenching her head back with the rough edge of command she’d started to think he would never show her. “Where do you want me to come, Trix?” The answer sprang to her lips without thought.

“All over me.”

We looooooove this series at Smexy Books. Tori will have her review this week (spoiler alert – she loved this one too!)

You can read previous reviews here. Each book has a different Hero/Heroine HEA, but we do recommend you read them in order.

What would I do without you ladies keeping me up on what’s been released from all these authors you’ve gotten me hooked on? LOL
I LOVE, love, love this series. This totally makes my day.
And then…Zeth is back in two days!
Btw, have you read Marie Harte’s The Trouble Maker Next Door and How To Handle A Heartbreaker. Both were really fun as well as funny and hot. They reminded me somewhat of Victoria Dahl’s latest.

Thanks for the rec – I have not read those books! I’m actually not sure if I’ve ever tried Marie Hart. Off to look them up.

Bren is still my favorite character but Finn is a very, very close second. I loved this installment in the series and can’t wait for what’s next.
