Smexy’s Top Ten – September 19th

September 19, 2014 by Mandi 16 Comments

iphone10. I’ll blog until my phone arrives in the mail. And then I’ll forget all about you.

voyage9. Amazon has announced a new Kindle! The Kindle Voyage is the first e-reader to feature a flush glass front. It also has buttons on the side to turn the page, or you can still touch the screen like the Paperwhite. I’m happy for these buttons because touching the paperwhite’s screen isn’t always that responsive. You can read more of a review here.

The Voyage releases in late November for $199.

deadheat8. Oooooh – This is one of my favorite series. Coming March 2015, Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs, book four in her Alpha & Omega series. Blurb:

For once, mated werewolves Charles and Anna are not traveling because of Charles’s role as his father’s enforcer. This time, their trip to Arizona is purely personal, as Charles plans to buy Anna a horse for her birthday. Or at least it starts out that way…

Charles and Anna soon discover that a dangerous Fae being is on the loose, replacing human children with simulacrums. The Fae’s cold war with humanity is about to heat up—and Charles and Anna are in the cross fire.

If you enjoy urban fantasy and have not tried this series, start with the novella in the On the Prowl Anthology.

The 16 Most Important British Celebrity Bulges Of All Time

This is what we call “peek-a-boo bulge”

7. I have something of extreme importance to share with you today. The 16 Most Important British Celebrity Bulges of All Time. We have Gandy and Becks obviously – but this lad, Thom Evans (see this lovely image here) is hot, hot, hot. Two words for you: Tally Ho.

cumberbatch6. Speaking of wet bulge, Mr. Cumberbatch posed as a wet Mr. Darcy for a cancer charity recently. This is a mighty fine look Mr. Cumberbatch. Mighty. Fine.

flask5. I have another extremely important matter to bring up. I know, I know – this list is a little more serious and dark than normal.

Do I need a mitten flask?

Please take some time before you answer, and then advise me on this situation.

Fox TV animated GIF4. The Mindy Project returned this week and you guys – it was the best episode ever. I think I smiled through the entire thing. I’m so freaking happy Mindy and Danny are together (and per the real Mindy, they aren’t going to break them up just for more ratings. Yay!) One of my absolute favorite shows. #DiamondDan #WhoaNelly

On another TV note, my husband and I just started watching the first season of Modern Family – we had never seen it. Not even one episode. Now, we have something to binge-watch (my favorite thing) and we giggle and giggle every night.

ghostbuster doniuts3. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters, Krispy Kreme is offering Ghostbuster donuts. I haven’t had a Krispy Kreme donut in years, but I think I might need one!! Love.

2. Your Friday cute – A tiny hamster eating a tiny burrito. Besides the burrito, the tiny hamster’s chair, table and lights make me smile so much. LOL.

(apparently this is a thing. There is also a tiny hamster  eating a tiny hot dog)

1. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Tomorrow is the Maryland State Wine Festival. For $30, you get unlimited samples. AND – there is a grilled cheese vendor there that makes epic grilled cheese. Excitement. Have a great weekend everyone!

Of course, you need a mitten flask! But then I thought everyone need Mindy’s Wine Rack bra as well… ;)

I was going to say maybe if I’m good Santa will bring me a Kindle Voyage for Christmas but that ship has sailed. I think I’ll buy it, wrap it, put it under tree and then when I open it Christmas day I’ll congratulate myself on the awesome gifts I give in front of everyone.

My bf and I couldn’t quite into Modern Family. We watched the first season, and it definitely had some very funny moments, but episodes typically ended in some sort of cheesy way that prompted far too many eye rolls on our part. Perhaps that is just us :)

This is what I expected from it – we rarely watch regular network tv because we find it cheesy. But for some reason we laugh and laugh at this show. We also watch it very late at night on the verge of going to sleep – so we are probably very slap happy. ;)

Modern Family’s comedy is all about the cheese factor. lol Once I got that and embraced the silliness it was even more hilarious.
I loved the Alpha and Omega books! Loved Mercy Thompson as well but the last couple were not as good as I’d come to expect from Briggs.
Do you need a mitten flask? If you live in Hawaii, I’d say No. Too conspicuous. If you live where people play and/or watch outdoor sports while freezing their asses off, Yes.

I DO live in the cold. Probably not appropriate for winter soccer games with my 8 year old – but maybe Ravens games? ;)
