Smexy’s Top Ten – October 24th

October 24, 2014 by Mandi 4 Comments

minichocs10. This is my problem with buying Halloween Candy. I EAT IT ALL.

magic shifts

9.  New Kate Daniels cover!! Magic Shifts comes out August 4, 2015. AUGUST. Damn it. (hardcover too)

jonas8. Nick Jonas keeps doing all of these sexy photo shoots. I’m way too old for Nick Jonas.

But then I see this.

jonasbutt

WHAT? Don’t judge me. He can be my New Adult hero fantasy. (see more)

gandy7. A peek into David Gandy’s house. We don’t get to see his bedroom but we get a glimpse into his closet. He’s probably been nakey in there recently. Just sayin’  (see more)

jail6. When we carve pumpkins, my biggest thrill is when I figure out how to use the pieces of eyes I cut off and stick them in the side of the pumpkin for ears. That’s art people! I don’t know how people do these intricate (or even just creative) designs. I would 100% cut off at least one finger. Do any of you do creative/complex pumpkins?

See more “Extreme Pumpkins” here.

IMG_47695. A good friend of mine had a Halloween Party last weekend – let me share some photos. I brought the vomit guac pumpkin above which was a gross, yet big hit ;)

donut1

She had fun and simple games too. She took some plastic pipes and tied dangling donuts onto it, and had the kids and the adult guys see who could eat their donut the fastest with your hands behind your back. It was much harder than they expected. She also did sack races, bobbing for apples, and a pinata. So cute and fun. And for adults we had our own game – taking sips of this:

Apple Pie Moonshine. Nectar of the gods. OMG.

candyfreezer4. Someone filled their ice bucket in the freezer with candy….

candy freezer1

And then candy comes out the ice dispenser thingy!!! I want to do this and surprise my kids. But I don’t want to tell the hubs because he will get all frowny and tell me not to do it. But who can resist candy coming out of the ice dispenser???? I CAN’T RESIST. Look at this adorable girl.

meltpumpkin3. One more kid-friendly Halloween idea – Melt crayons on your pumpkin!

And you get this:

melted

Instructions say to glue the crayons onto the pumpkin and then use a hair dryer to melt them. How long does it take a crayon to melt with a hair dryer?? But cute idea. See full instructions here.

Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: Brad Pitt from Zach Galifianakis

2. Zach Galifinakis is back with another episode of Between Two Ferns (he even interviewed the president once). These make me laugh. A lot. Especially when he asks Bradley Pitts about Ross and Rachel. I don’t know how he keeps a straight face.

1.  FRIDAY. I’m currently reading Juliet Marillier’s Dreamer’s Pool and wow. It’s so darn good so far. It’s the first book in her new fantasy series. The heroine is awesome. So excited to read the second half and see how things start to play out. Comes out 11/4 – will definitely be reviewing this one! Have a great weekend everyone!

I’m good with Halloween candy but I get really mad if there’s a high turnout and I don’t have a lot left over. Now candy that I buy to put in Christmas stockings? That always seems to need replacing about 12/24.

I love those pumpkins! I hope that in 10 years time Halloween will be “normal” to celebrate in Holland and I can admire those pumpkins. Making them myself? No way!
