Blurb:  He’ll train her to lure another man. She’ll lure him instead.

When interior designer Eliza Ballas accompanies a friend to New York’s premier BDSM club, she’s taken aback by the sheer want that overruns her body—especially when a sexy Brit assumes Eliza is adept at dark, sensual arts. If she’s going to play, she’ll need an erotic education, and she knows just the man to teach her how to submit…

Oliver Preston isn’t one to turn down pleasure, but Eliza’s his sister’s best friend, and he’s torn between a sense of duty and his rock-hard need to find out if she tastes as delicious as he’s dreamed. Unable to handle thought of another man owning her body, he draws Eliza deep into his world of exquisite pain and pleasure.  He has three lessons to instruct her. Three lessons to drive them both to the brink of ecstasy. And three lessons before he must give her to another man…if he doesn’t lose himself first.

This was almost a disaster.  I say almost because in the haze of  my excitement over another Tessa Bailey release, I could not see past my grabby, gimme-my-Bailey-hands and overlooked the fact that this story contained one of my most bemoaned elements….the angsty best friends sister/brother entanglement. I loathe angsty “oh no- but he’s my best friend’s brother/she’s my best friend’s sister” plots.  They always tend to un-man my hero and I can’t tolerate my man being anything un- unless he’s unrelenting in his sexual prowess! Or unabashedly alpha and a bit of a jerk! Or unbelievably sexy- ok….focus….sorry.  In any case I dived right in and almost drowned in pleasure as Exposed by Fate hit all the right notes for me.

If BDSM is not really your bag, but you are curious or on the fence, then this is a safe book to explore your darker kink inklings.  It is not so over the top that it is a turn off to those new to the *ahem*lifestyle*but it is not so tame than it would bore someone like me.  Little miss moderation.  I like  my heroine to take a little spanking but don’t flay her ass!  That bit of business aside, Oliver and Eliza were a match made in BDSM heaven.

“Oliver Preston smiled down at the dark haired girl dancing seductively in front of him. At least, he thought she was going for seductive.  She dipped down low, then rose with a twisting swivel, which could very well be an attempt to dislodge a wedgie…her name had vanished along with his last few drinks.  Women had stopped wanting to have fun with him.  They stopped being satisfied with a single night.  Now they wanted to LAND him…Jill…Whitney…Wendy? Wedgie?  Wendy.  Queen of the Wedgie.

I’m going to hell”

Snort! Okay, so did I forget to mention that Oliver is a funny SOB. I loved reading his POV.  Feeling particularly vulnerable to the women he used to bang care free and their sharpening hooks, he immerses himself in BDSM.  A safe haven with no names, no hooks and no expectations or inhibitions.  Emotional ties are checked at the door and he lives in this detached state until Eliza comes to rock his carefully constructed foundations.  She causes fissures and cracks and soon him finds himself truly entangled and conflicted.  There is of course a brief obligatory “should I, but she is my sister’s best friend” moment of lunacy, but it passes and does not overshadow or hinder the story progression in the least.

Eliza is a babe in the woods when it comes to BDSM but finds herself entrenched and excited about this dark little shadowy world of Serve, the BDSM club where she decides to lure a popular patron.  But being a newbie, she needs some schooling…training if you would annnnnnnd cue Oliver! *shivers*  Intrigued by the possibility of owning Eliza, Oliver lays down three lessons that she is to learn in order to be ready for a scene with another dominant man who showed interest.  She hastily agrees to be his  alone during her….education, and then the real fun begins!  Eliza finds herself fallen for Oliver and he enjoys his role of dominating teacher a little too much if you ask me and the end result is a witty and sexually thrilling ride that Bailey has me suckered out for constantly.

Amazingly sexy and funny Exposed by Fate was super fun and enjoyable.  A quick read and very satisfying.  I was really blissed out and read the whole book with a smile plastered on my face (even when Oliver was being a little douchey).

“Would you like to know what today’s lesson is?”

She leaned down and presed her forehead against the cool surface.  Her neck wouldn’t support her head under the rush of anticipation.  “Yes.”

Between her legs, she felt that smooth head of his erection, rubbing, enticing.  “Whenever you make my cock this hard, I’m going to fins a way to get it inside your pussy.”  He drove every inch of himself into her, ripping a scream from her throat. “That’s the fucking lesson.”

Eliza’s senses fired, then swarmed around where their bodies joined.  Her entire being, her next breath depended on his movements. He ground his hips into her once, pushing his hard length deep, DEEP. “Ahhh. Again, please, PLEASE.”

*Raises hand* Yes, me too please!  Exposed by Fate is a part of a series, but absolutely stands alone.  I’m standing myself…to go find more of this cracky goodness!

I just read this yesterday. lol I love Tessa Bailey and this was most definitely a fun and sexy read. I do have to say the beginning had me a bit annoyed. I know it’s only a story but my first impression of the club Serve was somewhat of an irresponsible establishment. No respectable BDSM club allows patrons to drink in excess and play. And it seemed more like a bar than a BDSM club. I will say, at one point later in the story, Porter refuses to play with Eliza because she was slightly inebriated.
Sorry…just needed to get that off my chest. lol
That being said, the characters make the story and as it progressed I loved it. Oliver was hot and douchy, but oh what fun to see him lose his shit and get all attached to Eliza all the while wondering WTF was happening to him. lol
