Becca Salt owns a business where they make-over supernatural bad boys. “From Crud to Stud” and the women who work there use all the methods available. From spells to chaining the guys down – it’s a rowdy place where anything could happen. When the hotter than hot nice boy Eric Diletto walks in wanting her to do the reverse, to unleash his inner beast, Becca takes the case on herself.
I loved the idea of this business, there were some glimpses of interesting characters as well. This could have been a very interesting story that also had strong erotic elements. Instead, the entire story revolved around two people who will use any excuse to get naked and have sexy time together.
Are Becca and Eric made for each other? Yes. He’s a nice guy and she’s an insecure girl who needs somebody who will be really gentle and kind with her too. Is the supernatural world set up in this story interesting or even relevant? No.
I was incredibly disappointed in this story because I had hoped to get what the title and promotional blurb promise: A man getting his inner bad boy unleashed. There was nothing in need of being unleashed, nothing wrong with him, no reason to believe he was in need of help whatsoever. He wasn’t a nerd, he was not shy, and was lacking in no ways whatsoever. I was really disappointed that essentially it was just that Becca made him horny. That was it.
Becca goes around in belly revealing tops and harem pants but she’s always fussing that she is both plain and fat. I don’t see a girl who thinks herself fat going around in that kind of an outfit. Maybe that sounds picky or silly – but it just heaped on reasons why this one didn’t work for me.
I can recommend this book to you if you enjoy a book where the plot exists only to provide situations for sex between the characters. That is not the kind of book I ever want to read- so it didn’t work for me. It wasn’t a total fail though, there were a couple of glimmers of potential in this story with supporting characters I found interesting and moments that I enjoyed.
