HERO: He was a devil
HEROINE: She was an angel
Two people who should’ve never met, let alone become friends, but it’s not until they give into the dangerous passion that’s been simmering under the surface for five years that things go to hell.
She officially had the worst imagination in the world.
Nothing could have even remotely prepared her for this. This shuddering, clawing need that ripped open her soul from the intensity of it. She hadn’t realized how pent up she was until that moment. How tightly wound her body was until her legs were shaking and broken, gasping phrases of desperation were bursting out of her.
“Oh God. Oh God, Chu.” She pitched beneath him, trying to fight his hold on her ass to push herself closer to the ecstasy, but he wasn’t letting her and all she could do was pull his hair and beg. “Please, please, please. Oh my God. Holy shit. Please.”
It felt like she was in that place forever, right on the edge of oblivion, her entire body tight and fighting for something she hadn’t really understood until now. He didn’t give her more, but he didn’t give her less either, just kept licking and sucking until she was panting and sweaty and wild beneath him.
Then he touched her again, breaching her with not one, but two fingers, stretching her so much it almost hurt. Almost. Instead the ache of being filled like that felt amazing.
Too amazing.
The ecstasy exploded around her without warning. She cried out and started shivering from the wild, furious storm of pleasure that swept her up, radiating out from her center and flooding into her arms and legs a thousand times stronger than anything she imagined. She didn’t know what she said. She didn’t know what she sounded like. All she could do was feel the way every ounce of tension she had carried around with her for the whole of her adult life fell out of her when the tidal wave of ecstasy started to wane.
Then it was too much, his mouth, but Chuito seemed to know that and kissed her hipbone instead. He crawled over her, licking and nipping his way back up her body, leaving little shimmers of bliss in his wake like after thoughts.
Alaine’s eyelids felt heavy, but she blinked up at him when she felt him staring down at her. She licked her lips when she saw the dark look in his eyes, so very different than how she felt. Everything about him seemed to vibrate with a rough, untamed tempest of something harsh and too difficult for her hazed mind to understand so soon afterwards.
Chuito caressed her bottom lip with his thumb, and she noticed his hands were shaking, reminding her of a long ago gangster who had showed up in Garnet, angry and homesick, but with a core of raw power so tangible she could almost taste it when he was in the room.
“You’re not broken, mami.” His voice was a croak of agony, but he leaned down and kissed her anyway.
Then Chuito pushed away before she could grab him, before she could even make her arms or legs know how to start working again. He was out the door before she could find a way to complain.
All she could do was lick her lips, tasting herself on them.
I enjoyed The Slayer immensely. Intense, sexy, heartbreaking, and brimming with hope and redemption.
