Wicked Wednesday: Top Ten Reasons to Read Changing his Game by Megan Erickson

Marley Lake is no stranger to awkwardness, but getting caught watching a dirty GIF by the company’s hot new IT guy exceeds even her standards. That is, until she realizes he’s as turned on by it as she is. But with a big promotion on the line, she refuses to let her current dry spell be her downfall. Maybe.

Austin Rivers has no business lusting after the irresistible editor of Gamers Magazine. He’s a secret partner in the business—and technically Marley’s boss. One look at that GIF, though, and he’s ready to install a whole lot more than just software…as long as she never finds out who he really is.

But reality’s not as virtual as it seems, and when Austin’s identity jeopardizes Marley’s promotion, he has to change his game or risk losing the only woman with the cheat code to his heart.

10.  The hero and heroine are both gamers (video game people). Austin actually created a very popular video game, which has padded his pockets. He co-owns the gamer magazine Marley works for. They are kind of nerdy and really sexy and it’s a good combination.

9. When Austin comes to her desk to help with her computer being frozen, after he unfreezes it, he notices a porn gif open on her tumblr page.

His face was close to the screen, the movement of the GIF passing light and shadow over his face.

She was embarrassed. She was turned on. She was everything all at once. Her stomach flipped over, and she discretely rubbed her damp palms on her skirt. She must not have been discreet because Austin’s head turned toward her, and she braced herself for the look in his eyes.

If it were possible, she would have sizzled like a well done steak under Austin’s intense stare. She swore his nostrils flared but she quickly chastised herself because clearly she’d read too many shifter romances lately. He couldn’t…smell her arousal, could he?

She needed B.O.B.

When Austin spoke, his voice was so soft, she barely heard it. “Do you like that?”

She forgot she was at work. She forgot Austin was sort of like a coworker. Because he was staring at her like he wanted to devour her, and that GIF was moving in the corner of her vision, and her whole body was on fire.

Caught under his current, she nodded.

8. Austin likes to be in control when having sex. The tumblr picture shows the man in a controlling position, so he tentatively tries it out on Marley.

He settled his thumb into the hollow of her throat, feeling the pulse beat there and then laid his palm flat on her collarbone.

The flush on her face deepened, her eyes glazed, and her breath escaped between her parted lips in gasps.

He caressed her skin with his thumb. “You like my hand at your throat?”

She didn’t answer and doubt crept over him. Maybe he’d misinterpreted, maybe—

“Yes.”

The answer was so soft, so barely spoken, that he thought maybe he hadn’t heard it. He needed more.

“Say it.” His voice was hard, flinty, like the striking of a match. Her eyelids, which had sunk, fluttered open.

“What?”

“Say the words.”

A longer pause, but he was more confident this time, because her body was pliant under his hand. And when her voice came, it was everything he’d thought it would be. “Yes, I like your hand at my throat.”

7. Two showers due to a hard on??? What this hero must endure….

He’d already taken a shower that morning, but this hard on wasn’t going away and he needed to surround himself with white noise.

[…]

He leaned back against the shower wall and let the water pelt his chest and stomach. He gathered soap in his palm and ran his hand down between his legs, rolling his balls in his fingers. He groaned and closed his eyes, imagining Marley kneeling at his feet, those hazel eyes staring up at him, those full, pink lips wrapped around his cock. He gripped his shaft and began to stroke. His own hand was a poor substitute but imagination was a powerful thing. He imagined Marley’s soft moans, his fingers tangled in her thick, wet, curly hair.

6.#Bossy #DickTwitch

Her mouth fell open and she arched her back, causing him to sink in deeper. “I decide when to move. If I want to stand here with my cock in you while you writhe on it, I’ll do that. You understand?”

Even through the condom, he could feel her inner muscles clench at his words. “Yes, Austin.”

He slid his hands higher and twined their fingers. “I like the way you say my name.” She always drew out the first syllable, almost on a moan. It made his dick twitch.

5. Two words: Phone sex.

“Are the curtains open?”

A pause, then a breathy, “Yes.”

She liked that, his Marley.

“Good, now what are you wearing?” He flicked open the top button of his pants.

[…]

“What do you want? My fingers or my mouth?”

She made a strangled sound.

“Don’t come yet. Stop touching yourself if you’re close.”

“Please,” she whimpered.

“If I was there right now, I’d smack that swollen clit of yours, to remind you that you don’t come without me saying so.”

“Yes.”

“Smack it for me. Hold yourself open. Let me hear it.”

He listened for it, that wet slap. And when the sound came, he wrapped his fist around his cock and squeezed.

“Fuck, Marley.”

4. Time to recreate that tumblr gif!

“Do you want my cock, sweetheart?”

“Yes,” she gasped.

“In front of this mirror? You bent over, so you can watch as I fuck you?”

“Jesus.” She could already see it—her braced against the mirror, his hands on her hips, his eyes watching where he plunged his cock in and out of her.

Oh God, she wanted that.

“That’s what Marley wants,” he murmured in her ear.

[…]

He flicked open the button on his pants and pulled down his zipper. She watched as he pulled out his cock, thick and hard, jutting from a base of curly dark hair. He was mostly clothed and she was mostly…not.

And it was so hot.

3. Two more words: BOSSY BJ

He opened his eyes then on a groan to the sight of Marley between his legs. Her hair was a riot of curls, and the morning sun streaking through the curtains glinted off the highlights of red in the strands. Her lips pulled off of his cock, and she looked at him from under her lashes.

She stuck her tongue out and swirled it once around the head, then smirked. He shoved a pillow under his head so he could see better, then reached down, his thumb at the corner of her mouth, hand on her chin. “Do that again.”

She lost her smirk at his command, and her eyes glazed. Fuck, she was perfect. One order from him and he bet anything she was getting wet. She stuck out her tongue and swirled it again, slower this time.

“Take it in your mouth now. Suck me.”

2. Because he gets her off as she is playing the video game he created. (omg this is hot)

The timer began to tick. Aric’s anger level was sixtyseven percent, and if she could hold it, the dragons would come. That was the only way to beat this level.

He moved his fingers with the timer and counted into her ear. “One.” He licked her earlobe. “Two.” Marley moaned as he raked his teeth down her neck. “Three.” He took his free hand and grabbed a condom he’d left on the nightstand the evening before. “Four.” He ripped it open with his teeth and struggled one-handed to roll it down his incredibly hard cock. There was a moment of silence as both of them froze, like the moment before the tornado touches the ground. Before lightning strikes a tree. Before a wave crashes down. “Five.”

You’ll have to read to see what happens when he gets to “Five.” *wink*

1. Because the word “cock” is used 43 times in this book. And because Marley has an awesome brother named Chad who made me laugh and I fell a little in love with him.

For all these reasons you should try this one. I recently enjoyed Megan Erickson’s new adult m/m, Trust the Focus. I was really excited she was starting an erotic series and this worked quite well for me.
