News from Mandi: The Stolen Mackenzie Bride by Jennifer Ashley is an adorable book. The hero is a big, loud highlander who has four, big, loud brothers. Ashley takes us back to 1745, to give us the ancestors of the Mackenzies she has previously written about. This has a heroine who has always been dutiful but gets wooed away by this wild hero. The hero may be loud and wild but he has a heart of gold. So cute. Review coming
Demon of Mine by Rayna Vause started strong – a m/m pnr, the demon world at first is fun. But by the second half I had a lot of problems with the world and the romance. Review coming
Up next is Valor on the Move by Keira Andrews – secret service m/m love? what what? *wink*
News from Tori: Wow, I read far more than I thought this week.
I need a life.
Craving Flight by Tamsen Parker–An exceptional love story that showcases a woman’s journey as she tries to reconcile her faith with her sexual needs and desires. Currently free on AMZ and Smashwords.
Hollywood Dirty by Alessandra Torre–A sweet fun laugh out loud romance that pits a small town woman looking to leave against a playboy movie star who wants her to stay.
Saving Grace by Katie Graykowski- Pure unadulterated fun perfectly describes this romance between a pro football coach and a naughty nanny who not only takes over his house and life, but also his heart. This is the second book in her Lone Star series.
Beyond Happily Ever After-Closed Doors by Kit Rocha–A short but OH SO SEXY interlude into the life of the O’Kanes and what happens behind closed doors.
Tall, Dark, And Wicked by Madeline Hunter–The second installment into Hunter’s Wicked Trilogy brings us an emotionally sublime and softly erotic romance that forces a man to choose between his career and the woman he has grown to love.
The Stolen McKenzie Bride by Jennifer Ashley–Oh, the FEELZ. I laughed, cried, and shook with anger as Ashley takes us into the past, introducing us to the incredibly sweet, romantic, and gregarious great great grandfather of the current McKenzies and showing us how he met and claimed his bride.
Blade Dance by D.L McDermott–While I wasn’t a fan of the first book in this series, the last two (including this one) were far more enjoyable. Each stand alone pushes a formidable PNR romance while advancing a dark arc.
The Alpha Claims a Mate by Georgette St. Clair–A cute fast paced PNR with a well balanced romance and suspense plot.
Autumn Moon by Jan DeLima–The third book in DeLima’s Celtic Wolves series continues to evolve the arc while completing a romance that build in the second book. The sensuality blends well with the action packed dark conflict.
Ryker by Geri Glenn–A typical MC romance with a heavy hand on the romance and very little MC interaction. The conflict for me was weak and underdeveloped but I did enjoy the H/h chemistry and dialogue.
Married to the Bad Boy by Letty Scott–So so so bad. Had a heavy Twilight fanfic feel to it. The plotline and actions of characters are completely unbelievable. Add in the conflict and I was like, “WTFH is THIS???”
Fighting To Breathe by Aurora Rose Reynolds–Not bad. An angsty second chance romance that addresses grief and fear in a believable fashion.
A couple of DNF’s unfortunately:
Midnight Burning by Karissa Laurel-An interesting premise that focuses on Viking mythology but at 50% in I was bored and felt the story was dragging it all out way too much.
Taming Her Wolf by Dee Carney–I normally love everything Dee Carney writes but I admit this one confused me with the supernatural mythology and the internal dialogue within hero. It was hard to follow along for me. I may try it again when I have the time to really sit and emerge myself into it.
This weekend I’m finishing up Claimed by Elle Kennedy and Everybody talks by Kitty James-I new series and author for me.

Hollywood dirty started out sooo cute! then i kind of zoned out there at the end. Did it not aggravate you he seemed incapable of doing anything without his assistant and THEN he seemed to know how to put fence posts. okaaaaay. I can’t stand when they make a character seem one way in the beginning and then it totally changes!

I liked his progression – for me – I think he was always able to do stuff for himself, he just chose not to. Until he was forced to act independent again
