Smexy’s Top Ten – November 6

November 6, 2015 by Mandi Leave a Comment

okay10. I try to start the Top Ten with something relevant –  but I have nothing today. So Blunt Card it is!

nacho9. We are getting a new Polo Romance series. Ignacio Figueras (pic above), aka Nacho aka renowned polo player, AKA Ralph Lauren model, will be part of the process.

Grand Central Publishing (GCP), a division of Hachette Book Group, is excited to announce the acquisition for its Forever imprint of The Polo Season, a series of romantic novels presented by Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras and written by Jessica Whitman.

The thrill of competition, the clink of champagne glasses, and celebrities of all kinds: it doesn’t get more glamorous than the year-round summer of the polo circuit. And no one knows that scene better than Nacho Figueras, captain of the Argentinian Black Watch team and global face of Ralph Lauren’s Polo brand. Now Figueras is championing the sport in a new medium.   “This series is completely addictive with all the dishy glam of a Jackie Collins novel combined with the heart of Elin Hilderbrand and the heat of Jill Shalvis. It’s perfect beach reading,”

This might be fun!

rai8. More book news: Amazing cover for Alisha Rai’s upcoming book – coming out this winter. AND – Tiffany Reisz announced a new book hitting the shelves next year – in her words

My next book is a Southern Gothic marriage of convenience dark twisty saga of bourbon and REVENGE!

Releases next June. Gimme.

7. An International Star Wars trailer has been found with even more footage than the one released previously. Watch watch watch.

6. Speaking of Star Wars, posters have been released and I think they are pretty awesome.

And the one I want to hang above my bed:

5.A bearded Henry Cavill is the ONLY Henry Cavill I approve of. And that is one beardalicious beard.

dixon4. Speaking of Christmas ideas…..#WalkingDead Link

HP3. Two years ago, JK Rowling announced she was writing a screenplay for the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Now we have pictures and a good looking Eddie Redmaynae. AND we get this bit of info:

In our cover image … you get a first look at Scamander, his pivotal briefcase in hand, standing inside the entrance of the majestic art deco-influenced Magical Congress of the United States of America (or MACUSA), which is the American version of the Ministry of Magic that’s housed inside the Woolworth Building in the film.

It comes out November 2016 (A YEAR AWAY??? sigh)

2. There is a photo booth for dogs, and it could be the best thing I’ve ever seen. Go here to see the pics. It just makes me damn happy.

1. Today is my dad’s birthday, so we will be celebrating tonight! And then Sunday, I have to run over the Annapolis Bay Bridge. Why do I sign up for things like this? Let’s hope for a non-windy day!!! Have a great weekend!!!

PS – Read Land of the Beautiful Dead by R. Lee Smith this weekend. I’ll be reviewing it early next week. The hero is NOT a zombie. He is amazing and I love him and this story captured me and made me laugh and freak out and stress out.  Read Jessica Clare’s review first.
