News from Mandi:
Hard Knocks by Ruby Lang is a really sexy and fun read. The heroine is a neurologist, and the hero is a NHL player, who plays for a crappy team and isn’t so great himself. The heroine isn’t fond of hockey since it produces head injuries. The hero takes offense. Great banter, sexy – really enjoyed. Review to come next week.
I DNF’d Dukes Prefer Blondes by Loretta Chase. I found it very choppy – hard to follow. Boring. I had such high hopes because I think it was two books ago in this series I gave an A and drooled over it for days. Not this one.
I’m currently reading Crazed by Edie Harris, book three in her romantic suspense series. I’m at 25% and it’s really good so far. I think I’m really going to like it. (I loved book one).
Then I’m on to Unhinge by Calia Read
News from Tori– I survived Christmas and New Years. w00T!
Everything She Wanted by Jennifer Ryan-A fast paced romance suspense with a cast of dynamic characters and a well plotted mystery. Review to come.
Crash & Burn by Abigail Roux– A roller coaster ride of action, intrigue, deception, and betrayal-this book made me question everything I thought I knew about Ty, Zack, and the Sidewinders and left me with a curious sense of sadness.
Part & Parcel by Abigail Roux-A Sidewinder novella that helps to address the issues between the Sidewinders after the events in Crash & Burn.
Bitter Bite by Jennifer Estep–An explosive storyline opens the door for new villains and problems as one of Gin’s loved ones is forced to face their own demons. Review to come.
Come by Becca Jameson– A sweet alpha overly protective MMA/accountant falls hard for his trainer’s niece. A sweet erotic story with some heat and suspense though it dragged in some areas.
Headed for Trouble by Shiloh Walker– A new trilogy that focuses on a trio of siblings and their rough path to happily ever after. A verra sexy scottish hero has all the right moves in here and does a fantastic job of helping the heroine move forward from her abusive past. A well plotted suspenseful plotline adds to the overall appeal. Review to come.
Outside The Lines by Beth Rhodes– DNF. There was a curious sense of two people writing this book. It is fashioned like an erotic romance but there is a strong religious inspiration tone. I loved the beginning but neither the characters nor the storyline develops past a singular level. By the halfway point I was bored to death.
I’m currently stuck in a vicious Nalini Singh Psy/Changeling re read. :) I am currently reading Bonds of Justice. Max Shannon is SO. DAMN. FINE. *swoon* On the kindle for this weekend is Darynda Jones’ The Dirt on the Ninth Grave and Lynn Connelly’s War Chest.
