Mandi news: I read more than usual this week!! I’ve been in a good groove! #Groovy
To One Hundred by Melissa Blue – geeky, erotic, teacher/student fun. Will be picking up the next in the series.
Kings Rising by CS Pacat – Amazing end to an amazing series. One of my absolute favorites. (m/m fantasy). Review is above.
The Seal’s Secret Lover by Anne Calhoun – this was a miss for me. It’s a little boring with a lack of chemistry between the hero and heroine. Review coming.
Incriminating Evidence by Rachel Grant – Great romantic suspense – fun suspense, really good romance. I loved both the hero and heroine. Review coming. Highly rec this one.
Act Like It by Lucy Parker – SO GOOD. Adorable, super sexy, witty banter. Review coming. Read it if you haven’t.
All I am by Nicole Helm – bearded, flannel-wearing, recluse hero who hates people and loves his dog. Fun heroine. Didn’t love the conflict in the last 20% but still rec this one. Review coming.
Me Before You by JoJo Moyes – I read this because I saw the movie trailer and it sucked me in. OMG – it’s so good but made me cry. No HEA. If you want to be tortured and hurt – read this. (It’s very well done – and the trailer looks ADORBS). And Will’s side eye (I love a cute side eye). Damn it Will.
News from Tori: I’m heading to the Coastal Magic Convention today in Daytona Beach, FL. Sun, sand, booze, and good friends. w00T!
Capture by Rachel Van Dyken is the first in a spin off of her Ruin series. A YA/NA mashup romance contemporary that comes alive with it’s adorable characters and their hilarious and witty dialogue. A fast fun read that had me rolling with laughter through 90% of the book. Currently available for $.99.
Carry You Home by K. Ryan is the follow up to Carry Your Heart which I reviewed last year. This two book MC romance spans 8 years and one couple’s journey through love, loss, and redemption. Review to come.
Stone Guardian by Danielle Monish was an impulse buy and quite surprised when the straight and predictable PNR fantasy I was expecting revealed to be a humorous, action-packed, suspenseful, magical mystery tour complete with rich world building, a diverse character base, a multi-layered storyline, and a sweet low-key romance. I just bought book two so here’s hoping the magic lasts.
Ryker by Sawyer Bennett was utterly delightful. Ryker is about two intelligent, well-adjusted people who discover they have more in common than just an employer/employee relationship. A single dad looking to score big on the ice one last time before retiring falls for his general manager, Gray, who is trying to prove herself in a male-dominated sport. This sweet, sexy, humorous romance that hit all the right spots for me.
The Fifteenth Minute by Sabina Bowen is a sweet sexy, serious NA romance that matches a movie star heroine who just wants to go to college in peace with a young man who has been accused of rape. Bowen does a good job of blending the romance while addressing the duel conflicts the protagonists are facing.
This weekend I’m reading Faith Hunter’s Bleed In Her Veins.

I read Me Before You and bawled, watched the trailer and it made me weepy. I don’t think I can see the movie, or at least not in the theater.
