The Beast by J.R. Ward – 4/5. I’ve read this and definitely give it a solid B. Lots of good Rhage and Mary stuff. Lots of good Layla stuff. V and Lassiter have some good page time too. Felt more focused rather than 500 different story lines. I’ll review on Tuesday. Goodreads l Kindle
Dirty by Kylie Scott – 4/16. First book of her spin-off from Stage Dive, we head to bartenders. Yassssss. Tori has read this and says it’s “absolutely adorable.” I’m excited. Goodreads l Kindle
The Player and The Pixie by LH Cosway and Penny Reid – 4/12. I just realized I never read the first book in this series, The Hooker and the Hermit. I looooove LH Cosway books! (and I really, REALLY need to start reading Penny Reid). Tori says The Hooker and the Hermit is cute. She also says she heard that the hero in The Player and the Pixie MAY be bad at sex. This makes me kind of excited for some reason. Something different! I’m going to read Hooker this weekend. Goodreads l Kindle (not up yet)
The Player by Kresley Cole – 4/12. Yasssssssssss. I just read both The Professional and The Master (both $1.99 right now!) and I can’t wait for this book! The first two (both stand-alones) are so freaking dirty and over the top, controlling alpha. Omg. Such fun vacation reads. Goodreads l Kindle
Thrown Down by Tessa Bailey – 4/4. I didn’t love the first book in this series but I will always read a new Tessa Bailey. Looking forward to this one. Goodreads l Kindle
One Night Charmer by Maisey Yates 4/19. I really enjoy this series and I’m glad we are getting another book. Yates writes really fun and sexy contemporaries. Goodreads l Kindle
Never Sweeter by Charlotte Stein 4/19. Stein has a knack for writing verra erotic books that also make me snort with laughter. I love it. Goodreads l Kindle
Chase Me by Laura Florand 4/5 – Florand books make me smile. She writes such romantic books. #swoon. Goodreads l Kindle

I am so happy that you think The Beast is good – we tend to like the same things. I know this series has probably gone on too long, but it is one of my favorites.

I hope you enjoy – it probably has gone on too long and honestly I wasn’t that excited for a second Rhage book – but he and Mary are so darn sappy cute and happy. I really liked them in this one.

Okay, now I’m nervous.
I LOVED The Hooker and the Hermit…but worry you won’t.
Annie the heroine is a little slice of awesome. But, Ronan the hero? He’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea. Sure, Irish rugby player hotness is allll good. The thing is. When we hear what he’s thinking (the story switches POV)–especially in the first 50ish pages–he comes off a bit too alpha-asshole in his aggressive pursuit. Annie is wildly brilliant but also suffers from social phobia and Ronan pushes her, even while aware of this. The story quickly unfolds from there, so yeah, I wanna hear your opinion, Mandi, because I marked this book as a 2015 favorite, but I’m gonna be a bit nervous too.

I read The Player and the Pixie this week and loved it – if you like TH&TH you’ll probably like TP&TP too. And Tori’s source *might* be correct but I’m not confirming or denying :)
Also, how did I not realize there’s a new Game Maker book coming out?!? *throws wallet at the computer* I need this in my hands now!!
Mandi says
Glad to hear this!!!
I need the new Game Maker book toooooooooo. :)

A hero that’s bad at sex. I’m not sure if I’ve seen that in a book yet. I’ll definitely be reading this. I really like Penny Reid’s voice. There’s usually a lot of humor in her stories. And the heroines are always very smart.
Mandi says
I don’t know why I’ve never read her. I need to fix this!
