Audible has 150 of its books on sale right now, and here is what I (Mandi) have enjoyed:

The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith – $4.95. Book one of a three book series so far….Robert Galbraith is the pen name for JK Rowling. This is adult murder mystery with an ADORABLE grumpy private detective and his temporary assistant who becomes his permanent assistant (and a slow course to love interest). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series. Book 3 is the best, but you need to listen to them in order.

The Witness by Nora Roberts – $4.95. May gave this an A saying, This was a masterfully told story – I can’t stress that enough. Her review. 

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell – $4.95. I just listened to this last month. So many had rec’d it to me but it’s set in 1986 and the protagonists are sixteen and it just didn’t appeal to me. But I FINALLY listened to it and it broke my heart and it was super romantic and omg I will be thinking about it for a looooong time. It does have a HEA but man – the journey is rough. It has male/female narrators who are really good.  The Kindle price is $9.99 so it’s definitely worth it in audio.

Storm Front by Jim Butcher – $4.95. I adore Harry Dresden – this is a really great urban fantasy series. The narrator is James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) and his voice will give you an ear-gasm. My husband is obsessed with listening to this series – although doesn’t share my ear-gasm enthusiasm with Marsters as I do. This is the first book in a long series.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon – $3.99. If you have 32 hours to spare, this might be the audio book for you. I don’t love this narrator – to me she sounds like she is 95 years old (sorry Davina Porter). But – I know others who love her voice.

Sustained by Emma Chase – $4.95. I loved this book – it even features kids and I still loved it!! EVEN BETTER – the follow-up novella, Sidebarred, is amazing and fabulous and the perfect end after the HEA in Sustained. Plus – Sebastian York narrates and oh…my….god. If you thought Marsters gave you an ear-gasm…just wait. I pretty much listen to anything York narrates. *bites lip forever*

Mr. Impossible by Loretta Chase – $4.95. I actually haven’t read or listened to this one – I’m not sure why. But it looks great and I’m clicking on it.
