This second chance romance is so sweet and sexy, I think I smiled through the whole book.  Eric and Becca were sweethearts growing up, and both fell deeply in love. But Eric felt the pull of the Air Force and left Becca behind to pursue his dreams. It wasn’t that he wanted out of the relationship, it was that he wanted to experience flying F-16s. He wanted to make sure he was a good enough man for Becca. She wanted to go to law school, and was devastated when Eric left and didn’t return. Becca went on to become a deputy solicitor in South Carolina and loves her job. She is now thirty-one and still thinks about Eric to this day.

Eric is now part of the Wild Aces flight squadron that is stationed in Oklahoma. One of his best friends and flying buddies recently died in a plane crash. Eric was in the air with him when it happened, and he is having a hard time dealing with everything. He decides he needs a few weeks to get his head on straight and asks for leave to go back home. Eric hasn’t been home in a very long time. And when he gets there, he sees Becca and he can’t believe it has been ten years since he held her in his arms. Becca does not want her heart to be smashed to pieces again – but Eric was her one true love, and a second chance is too hard to pass up.

The author does a really nice job balancing Becca’s fear of committment a second time to Eric, to just letting her jump in and see what happens. Eric is a really good guy – he didn’t leave her because he was a jerk or worse. He was  young and needed to map out his life. His passion for flying is intense. The men he flies with are his brothers and family, and it’s hard to think to give that up. I love all the Wild Aces men. They are flirty and playboys and funny and kind. Eric knows he messed up years ago and now that Becca is back in his life, he wants to do everything he can to keep her there. And he can be persuasive:

“Go on a date with me.”

She blinked. “Are you joking?”

I stepped forward, taking advantage of the way she just stood there, staggered, and twined my fingers through her hair, pressing my lips to hers.

“One date.”

Her mouth opened, her breath mingling with mine, her body relaxing into my embrace.

“No.” Her hands settled on my hips, holding on to me as her words pushed me away.

“Becca.”

I sucked on her bottom lip as she shuddered against me, the grip on my hips tightening, her body arching forward.

She tasted amazing. So fucking sweet. All soft curves and sex.

“Give me a chance,” I whispered against her mouth. “Please.”

She stilled and I waited, everything hanging on her answer.

“Maybe.”

Once these two share a kiss, they start flying down a rollercoaster hill out of control. The sexin’ is hot and heavy and plentiful. Those air force pilots are mighty fine in bed.

For those that read the first book, (this can be read as a stand alone) the death of Joker is addressed as the guys are still coming to terms with it. And, and, and – we get Easy and Dani’s book next and omg I might combust. We have to wait until 2017 but I’m already bouncing in my seat.

First two books in this series are definitely fun, sexy and I can’t wait for more.

I finished Fly With Me earlier today, so it was funny to see this review. Into the Blue does sound good, and I hope to read it soon. Thanks for the review.
