10. My husband never has any idea about what is happening with pop culture or knows nothing about what is new and the “in” thing. So he is in the parking lot of a shopping center to grab lunch and he sees several people all run in one direction – he thinks there is something wrong – it was just people catching a Pokemon. He of course had never heard of this app, and called me all confused. Oh husband. Stay your sweet, innocent self. *wink*
(I on the other hand have it on my phone of course)
9. The cover for Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs has been unveiled! Book TEN in the Mercy series is coming this March. Go to the Happy Ever After blog for the blurb and an excerpt from Chapter one.
8. I kept seeing very positive tweets about the Lifetime drama, Unreal – but the premise did not appeal to me. I’ve never watched an episode of the Bachelor, and Unreal is a drama about a show exactly like the Bachelor called Everlasting. It features the producers and directors who make the show, manipulate the contestants, etc.. But for whatever reason I watched episode one, then two, then three…and I’m HOOKED. It’s crack. It’s smartly written. It’s dark and mean – but I think it’s honest. The casting and acting is so well done. I’m on episode 5 of season one right now and I can’t say enough good things. Try it – you won’t be able to stop watching!
7. I’m sooooo excited. Just announced – Season Two of Poldark will air September 25, with a two-hour premiere. My husband and I really enjoyed Season One (Masterpiece Theater). Plus, Aidan Turner is verrrrrrry nice to look at.
6. You know The Mountain, from Game of Thrones? He has his own vodka now. The commercial is really cute. I wonder how many shots he could do before he passes out? (I want to spend a day with him)
5. Idris Elba is looking FINE in his new spread in Interview magazine. Go here to see all the inside pics.
4. A girl filmed an amazing, majestic sky – and tweeted a little video of it.
I’ve never seen a peen look so majestic in my life. How does the saying go? Red sky at night, Mandi’s delight? (link)
3. Chris Evans DOING things. Sexy gym things. It’s good Friday viewing.
2. If you want to pretend to be Chris Evans (without the heavy lifting), you can knit yourself a Captain America Shawl! This is so cool. The knitter, Kate, even gives you all the instructions etc…
I once knitted a hat. I was very proud of myself. My mom is an amazing knitter. Maybe I’ll get back into it one day. I always seemed to pick it up when I was pregnant (which is not happening again!) LINK
1.It’s Friday and I have drinks planned this evening with my Sis and good friend. I’m so ready. Planning to take the boys to see the new Ghostbusters movie this weekend too! I’m half through One Minute to Midnight by Nico Rosso and so far it’s really good! Great sexual tension and suspense. Have a great weekend!!

Your husband is adorable! Great list — I look forward to these every Friday!
Mandi says
Thanks!
Imzadi says
@Mandi: Did you manage to see Captain America Civil War and Chris Evans bulging … ehm … biceps? I was just wondering …
Mandi says
Why yes, yes I did <3 <3 <3 They are a thing of beauty
Helyce says
I am, sadly, just like your husband. I have no clue what’s going on with the Pokemon app, and quite frankly could care less. I have not seen people walking or running anywhere, but I hope to at some point. I’m sure it will be ridiculously entertaining!
Mandi says
It’s for the best Helyce. LOL
Demi says
Woohoo Poldark is returning!
Mandi says
So excited:)
Amy M says
Thanks for the Poldark info, I loved the first season as well.
Laurel says
My trainer made me do the rope thing Chris Evans does in that video – it is really hard to do!
Mandi says
omg I can’t imagine. My arms would just fall off.
Lover Of Romance says
I just love seeing sexy men doing gym routines!!! But wow that video—-that would be so hard and my arms would be fall off in pain :) I swear its so entertaining when I go on my workouts and see the various workouts others do.
So funny about pokemon and your husband. I am not a fan of it, but I do know plenty about it. It’s hilarious, seeing large groups of people in random places like a football stadium or the library.
