News from Mandi: Overexposed by Megan Erickson is a well done m/m contemporary. It features heroes who are going through some rough things and meet while hiking the Appalachian Trial. It’s emotional, fun and sexy. Review coming
I DNF’d Inarticulate by Eden Summers – I didn’t like the heroine and had a hard time getting into the story.
Currently reading Prodigal by Jody Wallace. I’m not too far in yet but so far it’s witty – I’m enjoying. I’ll report back.
News from Tori:
Well Hung by Lauren Blakely–A fun, sexy, laugh out loud romance contemporary that will leave you rolling as a couple fights their intense attraction.
The Deeper He Hurts by Lynda Aicher–A intense and emotional BDSM MM romance that addresses self harm and pain play while building a relationship between two very private men. Read Mandi’s review HERE.
The Goal by Elle Kennedy–More serious than the first three in the series, Kennedy sets up a sweetly antagonistic relationship that changes the lives of two people forever. Review to come.
Shadow Silence by Yasmine Galenorn–Galenorn picks up where she leaves off in book one, introducing us to a new and spooking paranormal mystery that centers around the heroine’s best friend. An established romance adds to the entertainment. Review to come.
Barbarian Mine by Ruby Dixon–Fast, fun, sexy fantasy escapism with kidnapping aliens, sexy alpha barbarians, and a group of resourceful human women stranded on another planet.
This weekend I’m doing nothing but sleeping and catching up on my TBR pile. :)
News from Kini:
I managed to read some pretty good stuff this week. Things are turning around for my book funk.
The Fixer by Jenny Holiday– Cute, fun read. Full review to come.
Earth Bound by Emma Berry and Genevieve Turner– I LOVED this book. I’ve read the previous book, but this story just the best. Broody hero, incredibly smart heroine working for the space program. The level of respect that Parsons had for Charlie was amazing. Everyone should read this.
Take Me Home by Lorelei Brown– A quick novella that was good, but not great. It had this subplot about a puppy that was clearly an allegory about the H/H but it felt a little force. Still good though. This pubs in November.
Today, I am going to venture down to the Baltimore Book Festival. I am going to the Romance stage. Anyone else going? When I am done with that, I am finally reading Badger by Cara McKenna, Sheena, you better get ready for some texts :)
