News from Mandi:
Change of Heart by Sonali Dev RIPPED OUT MY HEART AND OMG. It’s one of the most intense portrayals of grief, I’ve read. The hero’s wife was murdered two years before this book starts and he is not doing well. He meets the heroine and there is a suspense plot. I’ll be reviewing on Monday. It’s amazing – but hold on to your heart.
Withholding Evidence by Rachel Grant is a nice romantic suspense. I really love this series! (I’ve read them totally out of order). I’ll be reviewing next week.
Keeper by debut author Amanda Ryan is a well done fantasy romance. I loved the dynamic between the hero and heroine. Review coming next week.
I’m almost done Beautiful by Christina Lauren – and I’m loving this too (great reading week!). Heroine is british and talkative and silly – hero is American and serious and a workaholic – and then they have dirty sex on a winery tour. I’m super enjoying.

News from Tori:
Leopard King by Ann Aguirre– The first book in Aguirre’s newest PNR series-Ars Numina- introduces us to a world of danger, intrigue, and an emotional second chance romance as a young woman risks it all to save her people from destruction.. Fantastic world building and exceptional characterization left me engaged from page one. I can’t wait for book 2-The Demon Prince.
Race the Darkness by Abbie Roads– This debut author takes readers on a dark fantasy fueled journey filled with pain, love, loss, and hope when a reluctant hero to save a young woman destined to die at the hands of a religious cult. Fans of Dean Koonz will enjoy. An interesting story that engaged though I felt it was rushed and development suffered. Review to come.
Justice for Boone by Susan Stoker– A sexy romantic suspense that addresses domestic abuse as a chance meeting between a deputy and rancher leads to love. Well written and very sexy, the H/h chemistry was a little off and I would have liked the main conflict to have played a larger role in story. Review to come.
Black Diamond by Susannah Sandlin– An intriguing suspense thriller with a romantic element that follows a wildlife agent through the swamps of Louisiana when a dangerous drug known as Black Diamond makes its way to her sleepy little town, leaving a trail of death in it’s path. A well plotted action packed thriller with a strong storyline and personable characters. Review to come.
This weekend I am reading Sharon Sala’s Saving Jake and Kelly Armstrong’s Otherworld Child.
