News From Mandi:
Texas Tall by Kaki Warner, link above, is a great western historical romance. Loved the heroine so much.
I’m currently reading You Had Me at Christmas. I’ve read three of the five stories, and I have loved all three! I have a Laura Florand and Molly O’Keefe left and I’m going to finish it today even if I have to ignore my darn family!
Up next is Royally Screwed by Emma Chase. Excited to try this one.
News from Tori: I’m flat wore out and plan on spending my weekend doing NOTHING!!
Black Magic Bayou by Sierra Dean–The second installment in Dean’s Genie McQueen series brings readers more laughter, suspense, and some smexy times as Genie investigates not one but TWO mysteries. A bit of a cliffhanger will leave you jonesing for book three. Review HERE.
Blind Sight by Carol O’Connell–The 12th installment offers a readers a complex mystery to solve when a young nun is murdered and her nephew kidnapped. This psychological crime thriller hits all the right notes though the head jumping and O’Connell’s need to rehash our heroine’s past drags the story down a bit. Review HERE.
I like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie by Lani Lynn Vale–Vale’s newest series pretty much stays on par with her romance suspenses except she adds a dash of paranormal with some dragons. A well paced, sexy, humorous PNR that was an enjoyable fast read. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Jack & Coke by Lani Lynn Vale–The second in Vale’s Uncertain Saint’s MC series gives us the laughs, angst, and smexy scenes we’ve come to expect when a couple has to wade through quite bit of drama to find their HEA. Another fast enjoyable read by Vale.
This weekend I’m reading Thief of Hearts by L.H. Conway and Hard Hitter by Sarina Bowen.
