Feature: All in Fear Anthology
Excerpt: God of Wine by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

News from Sheena: Did I mention I still have house-guests. In-laws of the sister variety and a bonus teenage nephew.  I am drinking copious amounts of wine- to cope.  Help.

Send more wine. And whiskey. I alternate for optimal survival.
Aside from sipping my troubles away, I read a few hits and misses this week…
Blood Vow by J.R Ward– I really enjoyed this! Axe was perfection. Elise was a great heroine. Both perfectly flawed and evenly matched.  It gave e all the nostalgic old school Ward feels and Caldwell is still one of my top fav paranormal romance worlds to get lost in.  I am still super bummed the next novel is Chosen featuring the traitorous Layla and Xcor,  Yea Yea Yea Laycor fans- IHateEm and IDontWannaHearIt!  But until then, Blood Vow is a must read for any BDB fan.  I love that these legacy novels are full lengthers.  No novella treatment- Ward gives her all here.  BTW, Bitty will bore you to tears- the streaming down your cheek “WTF, make it stop” variety.

Vice by Callie Hart– Dark, dangerous and sensually arresting.  Callie Hart has a knack for romance noir. Bad boys on bikes and the dangerous women who love them.  *bites fist*  Vice is a trip down the criminal underworld where human trafficking and violence are hallmarks of the evil underbelly,  caught in the middle are Cade, who is on a desperate search for his stolen sister and Natalia, daughter of the vicious drug lord whose evil snare catches anyone unlucky enough to cross his path.  On the surface, action thriller- but the devil got too into the details and it read much slower than I would’ve liked.  Overall- intriguing and I’d recommend it for a long train / plane ride or quiet afternoon maybe.
Dirty Mother- by Lani Lynn Vale– Biker romance catnip.  Follows the LLV formula to the letter, foul mouth, perpetually agitated alpha and nice local girl mix it up, fall in love and survive gut a wrenching act of (non-surprising) surprise violent attack.  In between, a sexy fast read that takes the edge off.
This weekend I am looking forward to reading, Miracle on 5th Avenue (From Manhattan with Love #3) by Sarah Morgan.
News From Tori: Still dealing on this cold but hopefully it’ll be gone soon.
One Fell Sweep by Ilona Andrews–The 3rd installment in the Andrews’ Innkeeper series ups the ante with deeper characterization, darker plotlines, and continued excellent world building. Review to come.
Rules of Contact by Jaci Burton–A sweetly presented romance that will have you laughing and sighing as the oldest Cassidy finds the girl for him…and now has to convince her he’s the one for her. Review to come.
Blood Vow by J.R. Ward–Ward brings the cheese and all the wine with the 2nd installment of the BDL series. The seemingly impossible romance gave me a feeling of deja vu-I was reminded a lot of Rev and Ehlena’s story. I do wish the secondary storyline hadn’t overpowered the main one but honestly, coming off The Beast, it was to be expected.
Hope Town Series by Harper Sloan–Three stories all geared towards the next generation and their HEAs. Predictable but fun to see who our favorite little ones end up with now that they’re all grown up. It’s only $.99 on AMZ.
Deny by Jade Chandler–The 3rd book in Chandler’s dark MC series gets down and dirty when the MC undergoes an extreme makeover. Review to come.
This weekend I’m finishing up Moonshadow by Thea Harrison and Beyond Surrender by Kit Rocha.
