News from Tori: Home Tears by Tijan certainly surprised me as I was expecting her normal melodrama romantic undertaking only to find a poignant and bittersweet story about love, loss, forgiveness, and redemption when a young woman returns home after 10 years to heal and discover the secrets that tore her family apart. Brimming with humor, laughter, and tears, Tijan more than delivers with Home Tears.
Beyond Surrender by Kit Rocha– The last installment in the O’Kane world gave me a viable sweet romance and an action packed ending worthy of the series. Looking forward to the spin-off-Gideon’s Riders. Read our review here.
Nico by Sarah Castille – This mafia based romance gives readers an inside look at the less glamorous side of the lifestyle when the son and daughter of two warring families fall for one another. Strong characters, a multi-faceted storyline, and a steamy romance made this an enjoyable fast read. Review to come.
Deja Vu by Sosie Frost – An amusing secret baby romance with an amnesic mom, a pushy cop, and a storyline jam-packed with laughs. A fast fun read though the plotline restricted the evolution of the heroine and some of the hero’s actions were questionable.
This weekend I’m reading Stalked by Elizabeth Heiter.
News from Mandi: Everything For Her by Alexa Riley – I’m excited for this writing duo to be writing full length books for Carina. But unfortunately, their first one did not work for me. The hero is extremely controlling, obsessive, stalker – and not in a fun way. To me, it came across creepy, and very unsettling. It was scary, rather than fun romantic. I can’t recommend this one.
Rayzor’s One by Michelle Mills is a fun, erotic sci-fi – I’m going to feature it on Smex Scene Sunday tomorrow. The hero is an alien and a bounty hunter – he lands on Earth to catch a bad alien dude and ends up realizing a human woman is his fated mate. It’s over the top but works – the only problem is it is short and I wish there had been more pages to explore the romance. The HEA is rushed.
Up next is Trophy Wife by Noelle Adams and Married for His Convenience by Eleanor Webster.

I’m disappointed to hear about the Alexa Riley book. Thanks for saving me money, though.
