News from Tori: Reading has been very slow this week as I quit smoking last week and found that it is really hard for me to sit down and just read. :( It’s getting easier though with each passing day. Lani Lynn Vale is always good for a fast predictable sexy read and her latest-
Lani Lynn Vale is always good for a fast predictable sexy read and her latest-Rusty Nail– is no exception. Insta love, suspenseful plotline, fast and dramatic ending. Something was missing though. Unlike Vale’s earlier works, this series, in particular, doesn’t have the same sense of comradery, character development, or the outrageousness I’ve come to expect and love.
I love Cecilia Tan’s Rock Star BDSM series but her latest-Hard Rhythm-just didn’t work for me. Review here.
I picked up One Hot Scot by Donna Alam on a whim (it was one of this week’s Smexy Deals) and thoroughly enjoyed. A cute, VERY SEXY, humorous second chance romance that focuses heavily on family and friends. The hero is utterly delicious and the comradery and narrative is both sweet and hilarious. Still only $.99 on AMZ.
Today, I’m heading to Orlando to see the musical Wicked. I’m reading Twist by Kylie Scott and Kristan Higgins’ On Second Thought. Heads up, I’ll be giving away a paperback copy of On Second Thought with my review so be sure to stop and comment for a chance to win.
News from Mandi: At Close Range by Laura Griffin is an excellent addition in her Tracers romantic suspense series. This one gives us a quiet and stubborn ballistics expert and former Navy SEAL hero and a police detective heroine, who is investigating a double homicide. I really liked it – review coming next week.
Something Real by Nellie Christine is a m/m featuring two guys who meet because one lost his iPhone. One hero has very strict rules about not getting attached to the guys he brings home. The other wears his heart more on his sleeve. This started strong but I didn’t love the second half. Review coming.
Up next for me is Close to Home by Lily Everett.

Have fun seeing Wicked, Tori! It’s a great musical.
I’m looking forward to your review of At Close Range, Mandi. I’ve enjoyed the other Tracers books.
