London Hale is the writing duo of Brighton Walsh and Ellis Leigh, and they have a naughty three-book series out, all a little taboo and all quick reads. Daddy’s Best Friend features eighteen year old Eve and her dad’s best friend, Nathan who is forty-something. Both Eve and Nathan have been lusting after each other recently, and Nathan has been trying to stay away from her since he feels it’s inappropriate for him to have these feelings. But when Eve’s dad throws her a graduation party, Nathan feels obligated to show up. And Eve feels obligated to give him a BJ in the kitchen. Oopsie. Nathan flees, Eve follows, and they pretty much have dirty sex and fall in love.
This is a fun, dirty book that comes in just a little over 100 pages so I knew things would progress quickly. I wished the tension – the “should we, shouldn’t we” between Eve and Nathan had lasted a bit longer.
Forget a rock – there was a fucking mountain range in my stomach, the jagged tips ripping through my insides. I was an asshole. A disgusting, perverted asshole who didn’t deserve these people in my life. Eve had already lost her mother, and because I was a sick fucker who couldn’t get a hold of his lust, she had to suffer.
I love delicious build-up between the hero and heroine, especially when it’s a bit more taboo. But they dive in fast – and they say I love you fast. It’s basically a sex-fest. And then Eve’s dad finding out. And then a happy ever after.
But for fun and dirty, give this a try. And the next book is Eve’s dad falling for Eve’s best friend.
