All the literary goodness coming next month has me majorly excited. My TBR is exploding with all my new additions. Below are some of what I am looking forward to in June.
You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me By Sherman Alexie (6/10)
Family relationships are never simple. But Sherman Alexie’s bond with his mother Lillian was more complex than most. She plunged her family into chaos with a drinking habit but shed her addiction when it was on the brink of costing her everything. She survived a violent past, but created an elaborate facade to hide the truth. She selflessly cared for strangers but was often incapable of showering her children with the affection that they so desperately craved. She wanted a better life for her son, but it was only by leaving her behind that he could hope to achieve it. It’s these contradictions that made Lillian Alexie a beautiful, mercurial, abusive, intelligent, complicated and very human woman.
I through enjoyed Sherman Alexie’s Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and am looking forward to reading his memoir about his mother and their complicated relationship.

The Scandal and scoundrel series sounds so interesting – but my heart bleeds, when the heroine in my romantic reads are wounded – especially by way of cheating… A question for one, who has read the series, is the describtion of the emotionel termoul bad? Is Seraphina aware / hurt by his cheating on multible accations?
We only see the one instance of cheating in bk 1. Seraphina then disappears until this book. This one is very emotional and digs deep into the issues surrounding their marriage and actions.
