New Trade Paperback Editions Released Today from Kristen Ashley’s Colorado Mountain Series!
News from Mandi: Seducing Mr. Sykes by Maggie Robinson is a really cute historical. The heroine absolutely refuses to marry the man her father has selected, so as a last act of desperation, he sends her to a little town known for rehabilitating reputations and attitudes. There, she meets our hero who runs this foundation. He is more serious – she flails around, wears men’s clothing and loves to act dramatic. I liked it a lot. Review coming this week.
The Cartographer by Tamsen Parker – Finally Reyes’s book!! Hooray! I liked this one – his hero is a very sweet man whom I also enjoyed. Heavy on the kink, very erotic, this book is sexxxxxxy. I had one niggle which I will talk about in my review on Tuesday.
I’m currently reading a m/m hockey book called Coach’s Challenge by Avon Gale. I’ll report back!
News From Kini: I finished Lost Without You by Molly O’Keefe. I was emotional and gritty like she does best. It ends in a cliffhanger, but luckily the next book is out this week so I don’t have to wait long.
I am about halfway into North to You by Tif Marcelo. The heroine owns a food truck and the hero’s family owns a Filipino restaurant and they are competitors, but they don’t know it. So far the story has had some slightly implausible moments, but I can overlook them. There’s been no sex, but some serious making out has been off the page, so that has me a little concerned.
I plan to read Where I Belong by Molly O’Keefe and hopefully I get great resolution to Tommy and Beth’s story.
News From Tori: I read Molly O’Keefe’s Where I Belong, the 2nd book in The Debt series. It’s a nice resolution to Tommy and Beth’s story though I was expecting a bit more in terms of conflict. Next up is Simon’s book. It should be interesting to see what Bates and Carissa have in store for them. Review to come.
The Bet by Elizabeth Hayley is an opposite attract romance with the added benefit of a ‘bet’. While this starts out hilariously and I absolutely adore the heroine-socially awkward doesn’t even begin to describe her-Hayley drags it out and I found myself bored for a majority of it. Review to come.
Tamsen Parker’s The Cartographer is the last book in her Compass series and fans will rejoice in finally getting Reyes Walter’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed. Parker stays true to Rey’s character, even in the most trying of times, and gives him a hero that is delicious and perfect for him. My review will post at Heroes and Heartbreakers.
Until I Fade by K.A. Tucker is a sweet, lightweight small town opposite attraction story with a Cinderella base. A fast fun read with a strong heroine, sexy hero, and a few fairy godmothers and at least one evil stepmother. Review to come.
Next up is A Most Unlikely Duke by Sophie Barnes and I just started a re-read of Majorie Lu’s Dirk & Steele series. Tiger Eye is book one in the series.
