― Julie Garwood, The Bride
Wired (Buchanan-Renard #13) by Julie Garwood
Release Date: July 4, 2016
A beautiful computer hacker and a bad-boy FBI agent must collaborate—in more ways than one—in the sizzling new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood.
Allison Trent doesn’t look like a hacker. In fact, when she’s not in college working on her degree, she models on the side. But behind her gorgeous face is a brilliant mind for computers and her real love is writing—and hacking—code. Her dream is to write a new security program that could revolutionize the tech industry.
Hotshot FBI agent Liam Scott has a problem: a leak deep within his own department. He needs the skills of a top-notch hacker to work on a highly sensitive project: to secretly break into the FBI servers and find out who the traitor is. But he can’t use one of his own. He finds the perfect candidate in Allison. Only, there’s one problem—she wants nothing to do with his job and turns him down flat.
What Liam doesn’t know is that Allison is hiding secrets that she doesn’t want the FBI to uncover. But Liam will do nearly anything to persuade her to join his team, even break a few rules if that’s what it takes. A temptation that could put his job—and both of their futures—on the line…
and longing for more . . .
I love Julie Garwood – she was one of the first authors I read and caused me to fall in love with historical romance novels and alpha heros. I wish she’d write or go back to writing more historical books – I like her modern crime books but not as much as her take on historical love.
Two of my favorite books ever of hers are Guardian Angel and Ransom. Jade and Caine are two of the best matched characters and I love the rest of the books in this series that started here. Plus who doesn’t love entertaining pirates? And uncle Harry!!
As for Ransom – Scottish warriors are the best and again I love the inclusion of familiar characters from other books.
I have only read her historicals, and I really love The Bride.
I loved The Bride, but my favorite is probably The Wedding.
I have 2 favorites. The Bride and Honor ‘ s Splendour. She warmed his feet! Love, Love, Love Julie Garwood!
I’m sure I’ve read some of her historicals but I’m not sure which as it’s been years.
I loved The Wedding and The Bride!
Omg!! I luuuuuved all her historical romances :) They hold very fond memories of me smuggling them home from the library at age 16 and were the first “romances” I fell in love with. I didn’t read any of her contemporaries, not out of choice, just didn’t run across them. Thanks for sharing!
I’m a fan of Fire and Ice!
I’m partial to her historicals, but I’m a fan always no matter what she writes. Ransom is one of my all time favorites. The Bride and The Wedding too. And Honor’s Splendour…when she warms his feet…I love that book! And The Lion’s Lady! I think need to do some rereads!
Ransom is my favorite.
I am a big fan of her books! I don’t have a favorite, I love them all!!! I can’t wait to read Wired – it’s been too long since she had a new book out.
Would love to read Wired. My favorite is Mercy; loved the twists.
I’m not entering the contest. Just wanted to comment about the new release.
I’ve been slacking and had no idea there’s a new release from Julie Garwood. Cant wait to check out Wired!
I’m not a big fan of historical romance but Julie Garwood’s historical I will read. I have read all of her books and reread most of them whenever I get a chance. One of my favorite reads by her is The Bride. Jamie always crack me up each time I read the book. P.S. If you’re reading this, Ms Garwood (or publisher), please please do follow up stories on the rest of Regan Madison’s brother’s. (Murder List)

I haven’t read any of her books yet and since I’m a series junkie I think I’d have to start with Heartbreaker.
Thanks so much!
I love her historicals! My favorites are: The Bride and The Wedding, Ransom, and The Gift.
I don’t have a great memory for books, and it’s been many years since I started reading Julie Garwood’s books – but I’ll never forget ‘The Bride’ – loved it, have re-read it, feisty heroine + Highlanders!
