News from Kini:
This was the week where I read some awesome beta heroes and it will be hard to go back to super alphas. I need more beta book boyfriends.
I finished Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon. It was cute and good, but not great. Best friends to lovers which is a trope I adore. I was looking forward to book 2 as I thought the hero was going to be dark and tortured hero, but Helyce says that is not the case.
I broke my no book buying pledge for Tell Me Not To Go by Victoria De La O and it was worth every penny. Second book in the series was just as good as the first. I am reading the third book now and will review soon.
I finished listening to The Opposite of Everyone by Joshilyn Jackson. It was messy and I mostly loved it. There were some questionable references to race that I cringed on though.
I absolutely loved listening to When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. It is the first YA I have read since Twilight. It was cute and sweet and super romantic in a not sexy way. Dimple is super smart and driven and Rishi NEVER wants to take that away from her, he just wants to be a part of it. I strongly recommend this book.
I’m about 50% on Tell Me That You’re Mine by Victoria De La O and will be reviewing soon.
I’m dragging my sister with me to Indies Invade Philly today. Past me thought it would be fun. Current me is wondering what past me was thinking.

News from Mandi: I’m a little behind in my reading so I don’t have anything new to report besides what I reviewed this past week. But I will tell you what is on schedule for this week:
Going Dark by Monica McCarty – Start of a new series, and the first time I’ve tried this author.
A Taste of Honey by Rose Lerner – I looooove this historical author. I highly recommend her entire back list. This one is a novella that features a baker and his shop girl. Excited to read this one.
