News From Kini:
I DNF Grip by Kennedy Ryan. I was enjoying the love story. Great discussion of race in the book, really appreciated that. But the heroine made a choice that I couldn’t handle.
Started listening to Flirting with Fire by Kate Meader. It is pretty good. Lots of side characters getting love too. The narrator is kind of flat and sounds the same for every single character so that is SUPER annoying.
I’m reading The Corner of Forever and Always by Lia Riley and I am really enjoying it. Review to be posted soon.
Next up- Completely by Ruthie Knox. I LOVE her voice and the first two in this series were really good. I am keeping my expectations realistic so I don’t feel let down. This happens to me a lot with the final book in a series.
News From Tori:
Pine Lake by Amanda Stevens is a Harlequin Intrigue with strong characters and a convoluted mystery. Review to come.
Haunted Blade by J.C. Daniels is the 6th in her Colbana Files and cleans up some loose threads while preparing us for the final book. Review to come.
The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare was absolutely adorable and I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a historical that much in years. Thanks to blogger Bloudeedd for buying it for me. MUAH!!
Up this weekend is Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield.
