Smexy Top Ten
News from Mandi: In Deep by Stacy Gold features a hero and heroine who work together on a mountain doing ski patrol. Very well detailed – I enjoyed all of the action on the mountain. The romance is a second chance at love and is pretty rushed – but this novella comes in under 100 pages. Review to come.
I DNF’d The Last Wolf by Maria Vale. It just didn’t hold my interest.
I’m currently 20% into Devil in Tartan by Julia London and it’s cute so far. The heroine is trying to smuggle liquor into Denmark, but her ship starts to sink. She ends up pirating a ship run by the hero. He isn’t happy. That’s as far as I’ve read.
News From Tori: The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory is a humorous interracial contemporary romance that focuses on relationship phobic protagonists who must work through their own issues if they want to move forward. I liked it but it didn’t live up to the hype surrounding it. Review to come.
The Chaser by Kylie Scott is the third story in her Dive Bar series and gives us Eric’s story; one fans have been waiting on. This thoughtful and funny second chance romance offers a local playa’ a chance at redemption and forgiveness when he falls for a young pregnant woman and learns how to be a friend. Review to come.
Hot and Badgered by Shelly Laurenston is the first in a spin off of her Pride series that will leave rolling in laughter when a trio of sisters find themselves in the protective custody of bears. Plenty of action, intrigue, fan favorite cameos, and of course laughter, made this one of my best reads so far in 2018. Review to come.
I am currently reading Wendy Roberts’ A Grave Search, a romantic suspense series that revolves around on a young woman who finds the dead using divining rods.
