Sheena’s Wistful/Wanton Wednesday!

June 27, 2018 by Sheena Leave a Comment

Happy Wednesday! Time to get humpin!

This week’s quote are from an oldie but goodie, Desolation by Bella Jewel. Desolation is the fourth book in Jewel’s Joker’s Wrath series, a particularly cracky MC series from a few years ago. Heroine, Pippa, sold into human trafficking and forced to work at a remote labor farm, Pippa has had almost everything stripped from her. Chained to a fellow laborer and forced to witness all manners of abuse and atrocity, she’s desperate to escape as she knows she isn’t meant to survive the labor camp. Salvation comes in the form of rescue by her long lost sister and her husband, President of the Joker’s Wrath MC club.

Pippa is whisked away to her new life and finds adjusting to club life and their protection a whole new world from her traumatic former life. She finds love and acceptance in club member Tyke, who has suffered his own version of hell from an accident that rendered him disabled and for years he traded in his motorcycle for a wheelchair. They are both a little broken and a lot bruised and their love story was captivating. They didn’t have a magic cure all, insta romance, they battered against one another, jamming things left and right, before they finally found the perfect pieces of one another to fit together, theirs was a jigsaw romance with rough edges and visible seams but beautiful and the perfect book to cap off a very sexy and action driven MC club series. I recommend it anytime someone is looking for something along this vein of MC romance, it isn’t dark and heart pulverizing yet it isn’t you grandmom’s vanilla-angst either, it’s a nice hearty balance between the two.

*le sigh*

“Every time you look at the sunset, Pippa, I want you to think of me. Every time you cry, know that my shoulder is always yours. Every time you feel joy, I hope that it’s me who gave it to you. Every time you try to pick up the pieces, thinking it’ll make you a better person, remember how much I love that broken part of you.” “Tyke,” I say in a shaky voice. “And when you walk down the aisle towards me, know that I love you with every single part of my heart, body and soul.”

Wanton time!

“Breathe, baby.”
I take a deep, shaky breath.
“Another.”
I do it again and again, until my body is less tense.
“Focus on me,” Tyke says, kissing the hollow of my ear. “Just focus on me.” I do. I focus on the way his mouth moves down my neck, over my collarbone and back up. I focus on the gentle way he kneads my breasts, sending little thrills through my body. I focus on his hard, muscled body warming mine, protecting me. I close my eyes and drink him in, taking in every single feeling swelling in my chest. He reaches down between us and then he’s right there, pressing against my entrance.
“…Kiss me, please.” He obliges and kisses me softly at first, teasing my mouth with his. Then it gets deeper and his tongue starts dancing with mine.
“I’ve never done this before, Pip. You’re goin’ to have to tell me when it’s too much.”
“You’ve never had sex?” I gasp. He smiles, like a beautiful devil.
“No, baby, I’ve never been with a virgin.”
“Oh.”
He strokes my cheek. “Does it help if I say you’re the only woman I’ve been with that I fuckin’ adore?”

Oui! Oui! It does!
