Sexy summer romances – is there anything better to devour at the beach, at the park or in one of those nights too hot to find sleep? My Love Letters series – of which the first three books were released just yesterday – is just that: sweet, light-hearted and with just the right amount of heat to keep you up all night!
This post is also a love letter – my love letter to my five favorite sexy summer romances of 2018!
Number one is the fourth book in Lucy Lennox’ “Forever Wilde” series, “Hudson’s Luck”. Like in the other books in the series (and in her previous series, “Made Marian”), Mrs. Lennox beds the hot will-they-or-won’t-they romance of Hudson and Charlie in a rich backdrop of friends, family and townspeople – her books create places that will make you feel right at home! And who wouldn’t love to spend the summer with a gorgeous Irishman?
Next up: “Fake Out” by Eden Finley. This was one of the hottest reads I picked up this year, and just SO MUCH FUN! I love the “fake boyfriend” trope, and this book really makes it work. All the initial awkwardness leading to first shy (accidental?) touches… before they finally give in to their feelings. And the best news: there’s already a second book in this series, “Trick Play” – definitely another one to check out!
Book three in this listicle is the MF paranormal romance “Wicked Abyss” by Kresley Cole. This is book 18 of the “Immortals After Dark” series, and there is definitely a lot of paranormal hotness in all of them, but this one stood out for me: great witty lines and delicious tension between the king of hell and Princess Calliope. I melted to the pages. If you like your romance as part of a rich, supremely sexy fantastic world, then this book is just right to tickle your imagination.
“Deal Maker”, by Lily Morton, is another sexy MM romance on my list. In this fantastic follow-up to “Rule Breaker”, we meet Jude and Asa trying to figure out if their feelings really just last one summer as planned… or if they should break their deal and stick it out together. Besides some very hot bedroom scenes, this romantic comedy is laugh-out-loud funny to boot!
Last but definitely not least on my least is “Robby Riverton: Mail Order Bride” by Eli Easton. Eli is one of my favorite authors (besides being the loveliest person), and in this historical romance she pushes an actor (on the run from the mob) into the arms of a sheriff who’ll do his utmost to protect him. If only Robby, the actor, wasn’t disguised as the mail order bride of Trace’s (the sherrif’s) brother… and Trace could just ignore those pesky feelings he’s discovering. Adventure, humor and heat between the sheets, all in one fantastic read!
And there you have them – I hope that my “Love Letters” series will become a new addition to your sexy summer reads!
