Happy Hump Day! I am so excited to share Jamie Begley's latest novel in today's Wistfully Wanton feature. Begley is such a fun author to read. She's been an auto buy for me over the past few years, ever since I came across her first series novel, the MC Club gem, Razer's Ride. Her world is rich and ever expanding. The characters are so authentic and it is impossible not to fall in love and invest in them. I shamelessly tell anyone who will listen how cracky Begley's books are, you won't believe Continue Reading

Review: Fury by Rachel Vincent
Fury by Rachel Vincent Menagerie #3 Urban Fantasy October 30, 2018 by MIRA Favorite Quote: "I love you. I have always loved you. And when I die, it will be with your name on my lips." Reviewed by Angela Wow. I've anxiously awaited the conclusion to the Menagerie series for some time, but now that I've read it I'm kind of at a loss. I don't know exactly how I feel. Maybe it's because this series has been so sad and terrible at times, the treatment of the cryptids so horrific, Continue Reading
Angela’s Monday Mornings
What I read this week: Archangel's Prophecy by Nalini Singh Guild Hunter #11 Urban Fantasy October 30, 2018 by Berkley I'm not sure how to review this book without giving away spoilers. Although I'm sure by now, most romance readers aware that Elena and Raphael are once again in the spotlight and have heard the ruckus over the cliffhanger ending. Archangel's Prophecy starts out slow and easy, readers are thrown right back into a familiar world. I always enjoy those first few chapters Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses
The past week of reading hasn’t been great for me. Sin & Ink by Naima Simone- I picked this up because it contains one of my favorite tropes/themes, unrequited love. The hero, Knox is “in lust with his dead brother’s wife.” When well done, this trope lends itself to emotional angstyness that I LOVE. But this story fell flat for me for a few reasons. According to the blurb, Knox is a retired MMA fighter, but part of the conflict is him maybe getting back in the ring. I don’t like MMA Continue Reading
Helyce’s Thursday Thoughts
Over the weekend I spent time doing two things. Neither of them was reading, sadly. I bedazzled a bra with fake rhinestones for my daughter’s mermaid costume. You guys...college and sorority halloween parties will be my death. My neck and shoulders are killing me still. But...the bra turned out spectacular even if I do say so myself. The second thing I did, that I couldn’t stop myself from doing once I began, was glomming The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. That Continue Reading
