Tori’s TBR

The 3rd book in Thomas’ gender-bending Sherlock Holmes series brings us a mystery only Holmes can solve when her best friend and her sister are swept up in a devious plot by non-other than her nemesis; the elusive Moriarty. Review to come.

The beginning of a new fantasy series by Estep takes readers on an epic adventure when a reluctant royal discovers that she is the only thing standing between her people and war. Review to come.

The final book in Harrison’s Moon Shadow trilogy brings us King Oberon’s story. An assignation attempt has left him laid low in the winter Palace and only the top Elder Races surgeon can help him. An Easy Death by Charlaine Harris 10/2
The first book in this author’s newest series. Described as Dark Tower meets True Blood, this looks like it’s set in an alternate universe with the main protagonist being a gunslinger mercenary. Review to come
Band Sinister by K.J. Charles 10/11
One of the heroes is a rake who throws sex parties, the other hero is a virgin country gentleman, and there is a spinster sister who writes gothic novels and I absolutely can not wait to get my hands on this.
Sentinel of Darkness by Katie Reus 10/16
I believe this is book 8 in the Darkness series. This is a novella sized standalone and I’m just happy to be getting back to this world. Review to come.
Fury by Rachel Vincent 10/30
The third and final book in the Menagerie series. I’m more than ready to find out if Delilah and her fellow cryptids can finally find some safety, peace, and happiness. Review to come.
Archangel’s Prophecy by Nalini Singh 10/30
Love, love, love this series. My favorite Singh couple is back and ready to save the world, and each other, once again. Review to come.
Kini’s TBR:
Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny by Rebekah Weatherspoon – The original pub date for this was October 2, but Weatherspoon pushed it love over the weekend. So it stays on my October list. I LOVE the nanny/parent trope especially when the nanny is male and the parent is the mom. I am about 50% through this now, review to be posted on Friday.
Steeped in Love by Julie Evelyn Joyce 10/10 – On my quest to find a great romantic comedy that doesn’t rely too heavily on crude humor, I said yes at the opportunity to read this book. Fingers crossed the rom-com gods and goddesses shine down on me.
Going Down on One Knee by Christina Hovland 10/15 – Hero is a biker, rockstar and fill-in wedding planner, I couldn’t pass on wanting to read this book.
Sin & Ink by Naima Simone 10/15 – Excuse me, this book contains the lusting after dead brother’s wife trope. And have you seen the cover?! I.NEED.THIS.BOOK
Secrets of a (Somewhat) Sunny Girl by Karen Booth 10/16 – I read one of Booth’s series a few years back and really enjoyed them. The blurb mentions second chance at love and that is one of my absolute favorite tropes. Booth also is co-operator of Seasoned Romance (older characters) on Facebook so fingers crossed this is a book of grown folks falling in love.
Loose Ends Anthology by Kristen Ashley 10/23 – I have been waiting impatiently for Luci & Hap’s story since I read Heaven & Hell in 2012. I pre-ordered this in July. I don’t even care about the other stories in the antho. I have probably built my hopes and expectations way too high and Ashley has been a bit of a let down lately, but I can’t prevent myself from being ridiculously excited about this story.
Mandi’s TBR:
Snowed In for Christmas Anthology 10/23 – An anthology featuring couples forced to spend time together because of a snow storm??? My dream come true!! I loooooove this set-up. I’ll be pre-ordering this for sure.
Royally Yours by Emma Chase 10/30. Queen Lenora and Prince Edward’s prequel??? I adore this series and I’m so excited for this.
Band Sinister by K.J. Charles 10/11. The author on Goodreads states – “We have rakes! Enemies to lovers! Virgin hero! ” I really enjoy this author’s voice to begin with so I’m IN.
Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert 10/1. I read novella last night and laughed more than once. It has the cutest beginning – and super steamy! I’ll be posting my review this week.
Cowboy Christmas Jubilee 10/30. Always on a quest to find cute Christmas romances, we will see how this one plays out.
Not Another Family Wedding by Jackie Lau 9/25. I’ve seen this one rec’d on Goodreads and it’s on my Kindle waiting for me. I’ll be posting a review later this month.
