Angela:
I don’t have a ton of April ARCs to read so I’m going to spend the whole month catching up on my TBR and reading a few books I’ve been eagerly anticipating.
Demon Magic and a Martini (The Guild Codex: Spellbound #4) by Annette Marie 4/12- I kind of stumbled upon this while searching for new UF reads. I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and can’t wait to see what trouble Tori and her BFFs get into this time.
Storm of Locusts (The Sixth World #2) by Rebecca Roanhorse 4/23– The first book in this series, Trail of Lightening, was so damn good. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, on Navajo land, with a competent, interesting, monster-slaying heroine. Book two is one of my most anticipated reads of April
Fumbled (Playbook #2) by Alexa Martin 4/23– I really enjoyed the first book by this author, Intercepted, so of course I was looking forward to Fumbled. Then I found out it was a second chance romance and I immediately developed a case of the gimme, gimme, gimmes.
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins (OUT NOW)– I bought this when it was on sale back in December and I’ve kind of been saving it for when I’m in a book funk. I’ve heard it’s bizarre, kind of gruesome, yet fascinating. And the blurb starts like this:
A missing God.
A library with the secrets to the universe.
A woman too busy to notice her heart slipping away.

Once again I fell behind on my reading in March. My TBR has continued to grow even though my reading is slow. Here are some of the books I am really excited about this month.
When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton 4/9– Maybe you forgot that I loved Next Year In Havana but it was one of my favorite reads of 2018. I am really excited about the follow-up and can’t wait for Beatriz’s story.
The Last Dance by Aimee Brown out 4/16– Widower and his best friend fall in love, this is my jam! The blurb leads me to think this might be more women’s fiction, but that is okay with me.
The Austen Playbook by Lucy Parker out 4/22– I’ve enjoyed the previous three stories in this series so I am looking forward to this one! Parker writes great romance.
What books are you excited about this month?

April is going to be hard on my wallet – so many of my favourite authors publishing new books: Helena Hunting – Meet Cute, Kylie Scott – Repeat, Lucy Parker – the Austin Playbook, Tessa Bailey – Halfway Girl, Ann Aguirre – The Shadow Warrior and Mimi Matthews – A Modest Independence.
I’ve been meaning to read Rebecca Roanhorse’s first book, because it sounds awesome, but it probably won’t happen this month!
