Smexcerpt: Deadlock by Cherrie Lynn

Angela-
I FINALLY read Vicious by VE Schwab (it’s been on my TBR forever) and omgoodness… I can not believe I waited so long. Death, super powers, two old school roomies, one is a villain and one an anti-hero, a mixed up time line that I had work to keep straight in my head and an ending I NEVER saw coming. I’ll review on Tuesday.
I’m right in the middle of both Protect the Prince by Jennifer Estep and Vendetta, the newest Emmy Chandler sci-fi romance. Enjoying both and hoping for a lot of uninterrupted reading time in the next few days!
Have a great weekend!
From Kini-
Nothing too exciting to report from me. I did sign up for RWA blogger day! Yeah me. I am nervous and excited about it. If you are going to RWA, let me know. Also if you have a good recommendation for a good travel backpack, but affordable, let me know!
I have been reading Parental Guidance by Avery Flynn for the past week. It is taking me forever because I haven’t been feeling great (a little summer cold or allergies, who knows?) But also the story is a little silly and I haven’t completely connected with it. I’ll keep trying though.
Have a great weekend!

Hey Kini, I will be at RWA. Not sure about a travel backpack – I always bring too much, so everything I have is large!
Kini says
I ALWAYS overpack. It is my one flaw. lol. Laurel are you going for the full conference?
Laurel says
Yes, I am there for the week. I am (slowly) working on a book of my own. :-) My local chapter of RWA is great, but going to the national conference is pretty neat – so many romance authors all in one place is a hoot, and many, many of them are very encouraging to the unpublished folk like me.
Kristi says
I could not get through Vicious! Ahh well. I can’t wait for the Estep book.
Angela says
Was it the back and forth jumps through time that made it difficult? It was super weird for me at first.
Kareni says
Angela, I look forward to your review of Vicious.
Kini, feel better soon!
