Happy Hump Day!
You know why I’m here. I know what you came for. We both deserve it. And on this ordinary mid-week day, I bring news of an extra-ordinary, extraterrestrial treat! To my alien, Sci-fi romance aficionados, we are well and truly favored because Zoey Draven saw fit to release, for our smutty pleasure, The Alien’s Seduction! It is lucky novel #7 in the series, but new readers should find this world is very easily acclimated. Series loyalists are certainly in for a treat, ready as they are for their next Luxiria tale!
After a dark relationship in her past, Crystal Lee avoids men like the plague, especially dominant, physically strong, overbearing ones—everything that reminds her of her ex. So, it’s just her luck that she’s stuck on a planet surrounded by them. Only they’re not men. They’re massive, battle-worn alien warriors. And when one steals her from the safety of her new home, into the wild lands of Luxiria, she never expects him to come to her rescue.
Ambassador Cruxan likes two things: a plethora of females warming his furs and a good, satisfying fight at the training pits. As the leader of the roughest outpost on Luxiria, he’s known for fixing messy situations, for getting the hard jobs done. So, when the Prime Leader tasks him with tracking and retrieving a human female, he does it, no questions asked. There’s only one problem: that human female turns out to be his fated mate, a fated mate he never thought he wanted.
When they’re both stranded together in the wild lands, days away from civilization, Crystal quickly realizes that she needs to keep her distance from the devastatingly passionate and handsome male. But Cruxan awakens desires she has long thought dead…and soon, she fears that he has the power to break her heart if she’s not careful with it.
Ooooh yes! My fingers clicked this bad boy at record speed. A reluctant, grochy alien dude who isn’t even into having a mate, let alone a fated mate. A gun-shy, unlucky in love heroine who isn’t remotely interested in shenanigans- let alone alien foolery and danger?

Out of this world love:
After eating, after a bath and a fresh change of clothes, Crystal went outside for fresh air. She felt the cool wind on her cheeks and she closed her eyes as it fluttered through her freshly washed hair. And, with her eyes closed, she silently asked herself the two questions that Beks suggested.
Do I love him? The answer was surprisingly easy.
“Yes,” she whispered, a tear leaking from behind her closed lids, despite her thinking she was done with the tears. Her love for him surprised her. It had come on quickly, like a violent storm.
Can I live without him?
Her breath hitched. If this was what it was like living without him, then she had her answer. It was destroying her, emotionally and physically.
“No.”
Her shoulders slumped and she opened her eyes. In that moment, she had brief clarity. An answer so simple and yet so very not simple at the same time. Because life was never simple. It was ugly, but wonderful.
Arousing the Amorous Alien (heh):
Her breath hitched at how hot his flesh was, how hard. He was just as big as she’d remembered and she knew that they would have to go slowly the first few times, until she got used to his size. If I ever do, she thought, looking between them, running her fist up and down his length, squeezing at the head. She felt his muscles pull and tighten, grow. The other women had told her that during sex and intense sexual arousal, a Luxirian’s strength could double. She was certainly seeing the beginnings of that now. It should frighten her, but not with Cruxan. She knew that he would never use his strength to hurt her. He’d never let her pleasure him before, even though he’d gone down on her more times than she could count. But she wanted to. She wanted to give him the pleasure that he’d given her. Over and over again. Because she loved him. And she wanted to show him, in every possible way, how much. So, determination sizzled in her belly alongside need.
“Luxiva,” he growled when she pushed off the fur covers to the end of the bed and knelt beside him.
“Take these off,” she said, briefly removing her hand from his cock to tug at his pants. “Please.”
Cruxan groaned but helped her, ripping them off with one hard tug until he lay naked before her, looking up at her kneeling over him, his gaze half-lidded, his cock bobbing against his taut abdomen. Crystal’s mouth went dry, her eyes feasting on the image he made. She bit her lip, memorizing him this way, though she knew there was no need for it. She would see him this way… always. When she licked her lips, he groaned, deep in his chest.
Sexy, steamy, adventurous, and sexy (bears mentioning twice, trust me!) The Alien’s Seduction is good stuff. What I love about Draven is that she doesn’t sacrifice the true hallmarks of a good novel in favor of delivering on a hot romantic escape. The plot is solid, the characters are colorful and interesting and even after 7 books in- I’m just as invested in her intergalactic world as I was when I first came across her series. These books check the cracky box and are totally binge-worthy. If sci-fi alien romance is your flavor, this will not disappoint.
I also can’t stop myself from plugging Draven’s other novel, Captive of the Horde King. It is also out now and it. is. so. damn. GOOD. Post Apocalyptic delight! You guys. Like good- GOOD. Ugh- read IT!
The Alien’s Seduction is available now via Kindle Unlimited.
