Angela- I don’t have a lot on my ARC review list for February and that’s a good thing because I have approximately seven thousand books to read and review for March. Why do I do this to myself? LOL
The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa Contemporary Romance 2/4- I love the premise of a wedding planner having to collaborate with the best man (who is also the brother of her ex-fiancé) from her own jilted wedding day. This is an #ownvoices romance and I can’t wait to dive in. (I’m reading this one right now as I write this and so far I’m really enjoying!)
A Heart of Blood and Ashes by Milla Vane– Fantasy Romance 2/4 I’ve actually already read this one and it’s FABULOUS. Epic Barbarian Fantasy Romance at its finest. I’ll have a review up on release day.
The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James Mystery/Suspense 2/18 I’ve heard such good things about this author. The blurb for this caught my attention and I couldn’t stop my finger from hitting the request button.
Blurb:
Something hasn’t been right at the roadside Sun Down Motel for a very long time, and Carly Kirk is about to find out why in this chilling new novel from the USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of The Broken Girls.
Upstate New York, 1982. Viv Delaney wants to move to New York City, and to help pay for it she takes a job as the night clerk at the Sun Down Motel in Fell, New York. But something isnʼt right at the motel, something haunting and scary.
Upstate New York, 2017. Carly Kirk has never been able to let go of the story of her aunt Viv, who mysteriously disappeared from the Sun Down before she was born. She decides to move to Fell and visit the motel, where she quickly learns that nothing has changed since 1982. And she soon finds herself ensnared in the same mysteries that claimed her aunt.
Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas Historical Romance 2/18- Okay, okay, I’ve read this one too. I have no self control. Not my favorite Kleypas, I had a few issues. But let’s face it, I love this author so I read all the way to the end in one sitting. I’ll have review up closer to release day.
How to Love Your Elf by Kerrelyn Sparks Paranormal Romance 2/25- I haven’t read this author in a while and I really don’t have a lot of PNR on my current review list. This is the first book in a new series and with elves, princesses, and a mysterious Woodsman who is a thief who lives in the forest, it sounds fun.
The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller YA Fantasy 2/25-The first line of the blurb reads:
“They’ve never found the body of the first and only boy who broke my heart. And they never will.”
And I hit the one-click button.
Kini- The romance book gods are really delivering with some of my favorite tropes this month and I am so grateful for it.
Temporary Wife Temptation by Jayci Lee (2/4)- Fake Marriage is one of my favorite tropes. I have never read a Harlequin Desire, so this is two firsts for me- Author and category line.
The Worst Best Man Mia Sosa (2/4)- I cheated and read this already. It’s quite good. But what drew me to it other than the cover was the use of the “falling in love with ex’s brother trope”, I’ve always loved that. Spoiler alert: It worked really well for me here.
Just One More by Jodie Slaughter (2/14)- I really enjoyed White Whiskey Bargain last year, so I am curious to see what Slaughter does with a story centered around Valentine’s Day. And the cover feels very sensual and attracted my attention.
One Last Chance by Therese Beharrie (2/17)- Marriage in trouble with one last opportunity to make it work, I was never not going to read this.
Forbidden Promises Synithia Williams (2/25) The blurb mentions that the hero falls for her sister’s ex husband. I love this trope too. And the cover is adorable.
One Night with the Sexiest Man Alive by Ainslie Paton (2/27)- “Regular” person falls for famous person is one of my favorite tropes so I am looking forward to seeing what Ainslie does with it.

Ooh, lots of tempting books on the horizon!
