Angela: I have so many books to read this month. So. Many. And I think they are all historical romance for some reason. There are like seven million historical romance books coming out on the 9th.
Wild Rain (Women Who Dare #2) by Beverly Jenkins Historical Romance 2/9- Y’all Ms. Bev is an auto-read for me and I’ve been putting this off so I have it to look forward to.
The Duke Heist (The Wild Wynchesters #1) by Erica Ridley Historical Romance 2/9- I was drawn in by the cover and then I found out it was about a thief who kidnaps a Duke I knew I had to read.
Hit Me With Your Best Scot (Wild Wicked Highlanders #3) by Suzanne Enoch Historical Romance 2/9- This is the final book in this series and features Coll. Will he find his perfect English bride and keep his land?
A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorn and Roses #4) by Sarah J Maas- Fantasy 2/16- This is THE BOOK I’ve been waiting for this month. Nest and Cassian. I’ve marked the day off at work. I’m not coming out of my room. I will be devouring it on release date. (I’ll be reading awhile, it’s 768 pages.)
Quiet in her Bones by Nalini Singh Mystery Suspense 2/23- I really enjoyed this author’s debut suspense novel and I am looking forward to journeying back to New Zealand for her follow-up.
The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting by KJ Charles LGBT Historical Romance 2/24- This author writes the MOST FUN romances.
From the author:
This is a tropetastic romance starring fortune hunter Robin, baronet-turned-brewer Hart, two sisters (one respectable), an underestimated niece, gambling for high stakes, a villainous marquess (hiss!), and a certain amount of UST because I do love my Regency gentlemen UST. IT was great fun to write; I hope you enjoy it!
Melinda: Ditto what Angela said! I’m so looking forward to some of the ones on Angela’s list and have a few more of my own to add. Although I only have one historical on mine!
Wonderstruck by Allie Therin Historical Paranormal 2/9 – This is the conclusion to Allie Therin’s Magic in Manhattan series and I can’t wait to see how it ends!
Best Laid Plans by Roan Parrish. Contemporary – 2/23. I loved Charlie in the first Garnet Run book so I can’t wait to read his HEA. Roan writes some of the best mental health rep there is in all of romance imo!
Careless Whispers by Synithia Williams. Contemporary – 2/23. I’ve really liked the first 2 in this messy family drama series where there’s a family involved in politics. But really, look at this cover! Just look at this beauty. You’re welcome.
Love at First by Kate Clayborn Contemporary – 2/26. Kate Clayborn is solidly on my list of favorite contemporary authors I always recommend. I can’t wait to read what’s she’s done with this Romeo & Juliet inspired take on second chances.
Melanie: I definitely have a couple of the same books as Angela and Melinda on my own list, including the upcoming Kate Clayborn and the new Beverly Jenkins. Melinda’s list also reminds me that I need to add Synithia Williams to my reading list immediately.
Gray Hair Don’t Care by Karen Booth Contemporary – 2/8. This book has been on my radar since I first saw the cover. A gray-haired woman in a bright pink dress confidently strutting by a younger man who seems to be a dead ringer for Keanu Reeves. YES. PLEASE. With a charming blurb to match, I am really excited for this book.
Jen: My TBR list is crazy long. I’m so backed up, if it was published in 2015…it might still be new to me. Yikes. There are four in February that I’m hoping to read. And, one that was slated for February that came out early (Yay!) that I devoured. Reclaimed by Jaymin Eve was listed as a Feb 1 release, but I snapped it up in January and loved it. Review to come soon.
The Revelation of Light and Dark by Sawyer Bennett– 2/9 Romantic Fantasy How cool is this cover? One of my favorite series last year was Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I’m getting a little of that vibe from this one, too. It’s set in Seattle but is about a woman who sees things others can’t, including; fae, demons, gods, and angels. She has a guy who is mentoring her about her unique gifts. He is, of course, is gorgeous. Sign me up.
Throne of Vengeance by Rina Kent– 2/11 Romantic Suspense I discovered Kent as I was making my way through the hell hole of 2020. She quickly became an auto-buy. This new duet is set in the mafia world. Throne of Power is book one and tee’d up currently on my kindle. It’s a dark romance, arranged marriage, second chance love. Checks all the guilty pleasure boxes.
I, too, CAN NOT wait to read A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas. A Court of Thorns and Roses remains to this day one of my top series. Really looking forward to this latest book.
Ruthless Creatures by J.T. Geissinger- 2/19 Another great author who writes couples that are absolute fire. Her fiancé disappears, leaving her in the dark with a million unanswered questions. But wait…a mysterious stranger arrives in town. Tall, dark, and dangerous, Kage is as full of secrets as he is sex appeal. He’s hiding something. Hmmm…. And while they’re getting VERY close with each other, she learns that he’s tied to her fiancé’s disappearance.

Jackie Ashenden released IN THE DARK, the first book of a duet, February 1. I’m reading it right now. The book and its sequel (WITH THE LIGHTS ON, scheduled for May) feature both best friend’s sister/sister’s best friend and Beauty & the Beast tropes. The books are being released through Harlequin’s Dare line, which is being discontinued at some point this year.
Natasha Knight released WITH THIS RING on February 2 and releases the second book of the duet, I THEE TAKE, on February 23. This is a dark mafia romance featuring a forced/arranged marriage.
TALES OF DARKNESS AND SIN is scheduled for February 9. This anthology features short stories from some of my favorite dark romance writers: A. Zavarelli, Cora Reilly, Natasha Knight, Sierra Simone, and Skye Warren, among others. Plus, all royalties will benefit the National Women’s Law Center which represents a variety of women’s rights and LGBTQIA issues—so buying it is a win-win.
Lauren Blakely’s MY ONE WEEK HUSBAND will drop on February 19. This was originally to be titled ONE ALLURING CHANCE, but a change was recently made. This features business partner MCs who have to pretend to be married to snag a business deal. Let the fake relationship & enforced proximity (with only one bed) begin!
On February 24, Juliana Stone releases SLOW KIND OF LOVE, the next in her Crystal Lake series. This one features an age gap with an older heroine and a former football player hero.
