Harlequin’s ebooks don’t drop until the first of the month, so I can’t get Maisey Yates’s BRIDE FOR A LOST KING until August 1. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to Ella James’s WRATH (dark m/m involving stepbrothers) tomorrow. And I’ve never heard of Ana Huang, but that princess-and-her-hot-bodyguard TWISTED GAMES seems like primo-DDD catnip (and it’s on KU—yay!). Meanwhile, Amazon is still showing my girl Kati Wilde’s EVIL TWIN scheduled for July 31. As always, I live in hope….
Harlequin’s titles used to always show the 1st as their drop date, but the last several months they have moved them to the last Tuesday of the month before. I’m not sure why.
Fingers crossed Evil Twin releases on the 31st.
It appears that Harlequin’s physical books are available at the end of the month, but ebooks aren’t available until the first of the following month. Does Harlequin still have the service where you get the books delivered by mail? I used to be in the Harlequin Historical club and would receive four books per month. That was decades ago, so I have no idea if they still do that, but if they did, it would explain why physical books have an earlier drop date than their ebooks.
Also, Ella James’s WRATH was moved to August 31. Darn!
I have loved JR Ward’s writing for a long time, but I thought the last few Black Dagger Brotherhood books broke me. They were…not good. And yet, I see that book image on the post and part of me perks up. I guess I’ll wait a bit for any reviews and go through Goodreads to see what people say. It’s probably going to be terrible, so I shouldn’t waste my time, but boy I would love to read a great Ward book again.
I haven’t read a Ward book in so long, and I remember when I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a new one. Kind of makes me sad.
It is so sad! She used to be an auto buy for me. I even lined up once to get her to sign a hardcover copy of one of the books, but it just feels like she’s phoning it in now.
