Just because she has fiery red hair, doesn’t mean that Aubrey has the temperament to match it. Actually, it was quite the opposite, Aubrey was the shy one out of the group of friends. Maybe it was the horrors she’d had to endure growing up or maybe it was because until she’d met her four best friends that summer long ago, she’d never felt a connection before. Now, as her best friends find love, she starts to dream about the day she could open her own life to something bigger, and she’d been dreaming for a while now about who she wanted to share it with.
Aiden was the first employee the five friends had hired on at River Camps. He’d been there since the first nail was struck on the remodel and was excited when they had decided to keep him on around the camps to build more cabins. Seeing what his hard work had done for the place, he couldn’t help feeling pride as he walked around the place. The only thing that made his steps falter was bumping into the very sexy but shy Aubrey.
Summer’s End (Wildflowers Book 5) by Jill Sanders- $.99 for a limited time.
Wanted: One roommate to share a 3-bedroom house, split the rent, and ideally not be the guy I can’t stop thinking about.
I’m a man with too many secrets, so the last thing I need is a new roommate with a sexy smile and blue eyes that see right through me. Eight years ago, Roderick left town after high school. We’re not friends. I owe him nothing. But back then, I let one of my secrets slip, and he’s the only one who noticed.
Part of me knows I should run far, far away. But the other part wants him to come upstairs and spend the night. But if I let him in, I could lose everything.
Seeking: a room to rent in town. I’m tidy, have no pets, and I will feed you homemade bread.
I should probably add: Gay AF, and has no filter. It’s no wonder my new landlord is so wary of me.
A smarter man would ignore those hot glances from Kieran Shipley. The broody lumberjack wants more from me than another homemade pretzel, but if I push my luck, I’ll end up back on the street.
Too bad I’ve never been smart with my heart…

Annabelle Elder’s life is nowhere near as exciting as the exotic art she collects. A cheating ex-boyfriend and her busy antiques shop have seen to that. But when the morning arrives, Annabelle returns to her boring life, determined to forget a certain playboy. Only, Jared isn’t as willing to let that one night be the end of their relationship…
Invite Me In: A Salon Games novel by Stephanie Julian– FREE for a limited time.
He’s breaking the rules for one woman, and coming dangerously close to falling in love…
Simon Nugent, Earl of Fielding, knows he’s flawed. He’s arrogant, possessive, and haunted by a terrible choice he made long ago. So when a former friend’s daughter gives him the chance to do a good deed, he grabs it. Except he’d like to grab her as well and teach her a thing or two about kissing. If only she weren’t so damn stubborn.
Ida Strong wants one thing – justice on behalf of her father. She has no room for anything else, in spite of her growing and (at times) inexplicable attraction toward a certain earl. But for a woman who knows what betrayal tastes like, placing her trust in others is hard. Risking her heart, would be downright foolish. Until it’s the only thing that seems to make sense.
The Formidable Earl (Diamonds In The Rough Book 6) by Sophie Barnes– $.99 for a limited time.

I loved ROOMMATE—and thought it would be a candidate for my favorite book of the year—until around the 80% mark where, imho, it went completely off the rails by having one of the heroes volunteer to do work for the homophobic church that his parents (who kicked him out for being gay) belonged to. I was like, WTF?? I think it was supposed to show the hero’s loving temperament, but I thought it made excuses for entrenched homophobia. If Bowen wanted to show the hero doing charity work, she could have shown him working for an LGBTQ+ organization. That element of the story really bumped the book down for me.
