Now an Entertainment Weekly Top 10 Romance of 2018!
I’m not a good man, and I’ve never pretended to be. I don’t believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn’t paid for in advance. In fact, I’ve got my own personal holy trinity: in the name of money, sex, and Macallan 18, amen.
So when the gorgeous, brilliant Zenny Iverson asks me to teach her about sex, I want to say yes, I really do. Unfortunately, there are several reasons to say no–reasons that even a very bad man like myself can’t ignore.
1. She’s my best friend’s little sister.
2. She’s too young for me. Like way too young.
3. She’s a nun. Or about to be anyway.
But I want her. I want her even with my best friend and God in the way, I want to teach her and touch her and love her, and I know that makes me something much worse than a very bad man. It makes me a sinner.
And it’s those very sins that are about to save me…
***Sinner is a standalone companion to Priest about Father Bell’s brother Sean. You do not have to read Priest or Midnight Mass to read Sinner***
Sinner (Priest Book 2) by Sierra Simone– $2.99 for a limited time.
A sexy new brother’s best friend romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.
I’m not boyfriend material.
If a trail of broken hearts and a piss-poor record of failed relationships have taught me anything, it’s this. My buddies are happy to give me shit about my latest breakup from here to next Sunday. Thanks, but I’d rather have a root canal.
And a vasectomy.
At the same time.
Relief comes in an unlikely package—the gorgeous and feisty Maren. She just so happens to be my best friend’s sister, so that’s not awkward at all.
But I’m a man on a mission, and Maren is down to teach me all the ways I’ve been failing as a boyfriend. Apparently, there are many. And it’s all very informative—until I start to catch feelings.
Now it’s not just my reputation on the line, but my heart too.
The Boyfriend Effect (Frisky Business Book 1) by Kendall Ryan– $1.99 for a limited time.
I fled Boston and my cheating jerk of an ex with three hundred dollars and a lip gloss in my pocket. Waking up the next day in Burlington, Vermont, with a crick in my back and a frozen ass wasn’t exactly in the plan. If there was one. Which there wasn’t. Story of my life.
Three hours later and I’ve been hired as temporary help in the local veterinary and grooming clinic, which is kind of impressive since I know zip about animals and even less about grooming. But one thing I do know—I’m crushing hard on the sexy, absent-minded vet I work for.
My life is a hot mess. The last thing I need is another relationship. Emmett pushes all my buttons, but he isn’t out. He’s overwhelmed with a business to run and a son to look after and the kind of domestic life I never thought I wanted.
I should walk away.
But Emmett believes in me, and I might just be starting to believe in myself. As different as we are, is it possible we’re exactly what the other needs?
Unguarded (Vino and Veritas) by Jay Hogan– $1.99 for a limited time.
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Darynda Jones comes a new story in her Charley Davidson series…
The job should have been easy.
Get in. Assess the situation. Get out. But for veteran tracker Quentin Rutherford, things get sticky when the girl he’s loved since puberty shows up, conducting her own investigation into the strange occurrences of the small, New Mexico town. He knew it would be a risk coming back to the area, but he had no idea Amber Kowalski had become a bona fide PI, investigating things that go bump in the night. He shouldn’t be surprised, however. She can see through the dead as clearly as he can. The real question is, can she see through him?
But is anything that’s worth it ever easy?
To say that Amber is shocked to see her childhood crush would be the understatement of her fragile second life. One look at him tells her everything she needs to know. He’s changed. So drastically she barely recognizes him. He is savage now, a hardened—in all the right places—demon hunter, and she is simply the awkward, lovestruck girl he left behind. But she doesn’t have time to dwell on the past. A supernatural entity has set up shop, and it’s up to them to stop it before it kills again. While thousands of questions burn inside her, she has to put her concern over him, over what he’s become, aside for now. Because he’s about to learn one, undeniable fact: she’s changed, too.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
The Gravedigger’s Son: A Charley Davidson Novella by Darynda Jones- $1.49 for a limited time.
When an ambitious entrepreneur pretends to be a lady of means, she catches the eye—and heart—of a duke…
Jessica McGale’s family business desperately needs investors and she’s determined to succeed at any cost. But she knows London’s elite will never look twice at a humble farm girl like herself. Posing as “Lady Whitfield,” however, places her in the orbit of wealthy, powerful people—most notably the Duke of Rotherby. His influence and support could save her company, but Jess never expected the effect he’d have on her.
Society thinks Noel is a notorious, carefree duke who dabbles in investments, but there’s a side to him that only his closest friends see. When he crosses paths with Lady Whitfield at a business bazaar, his world tilts on its axis. She’s brilliant and compelling, and brings him to his knees like no woman has before. Trust is difficult for Noel, but Jess makes him believe anything is possible. . .
As time ticks down on her Cinderella scheme, the thought of achieving her goal at Noel’s expense breaks Jess’s heart. He doesn’t just want her now, he wants her forever. But will her secret end their future before it begins?

SINNER is fantastic, but I do think you need to read PRIEST first—and then SAINT when you finish SINNER (the heroes of the three books are brothers). All three books are about the intersection of the spiritual and the sexual and if that can be reconciled within the doctrine of the Catholic Church. However, if you’re a devout, practicing Catholic, these books may not be for you.
Angela says
I saw a review for Saint that made me put all three on my TBR. I’m not normally one for religion in my romance, but I’ll give these a try.
DiscoDollyDeb says
I think all three are brilliantly-written. (Full disclosure: I’m a regular churchgoer, but not a Catholic.) If you like tortured heroes, the three books should be at the top of your list: lots of spiritual angst and smoking-hot sexy-times. Plus, if you read them in order, you see all three brothers’ interconnected stories in the correct timeline.
