Angela: I’ve already read quite a few of my ARCs for this month, there were just so many I was really looking forward to. I do have a bunch of books I’m excited about that are releasing in Kindle Unlimited in the next couple of weeks.
Playing it Safe (Sydney Smoke Rugby Series Book 7) by Amy Andrews 9/6 M/M Contemporary Romance– I hit the request button on this ARC before I realized it was book number 7 in the series. I’m a sucker for a hot cover, okay?!! Anyway, looking forward to diving into this gay rugby romance. I’ll report back.
Portrait of a Scotsman (A League of Extraordinary Women Book 3) by Evie Dunmore 9/7 Historical Romance– Loved the first book in this series, the second book was okay until it just wasn’t. I had major issues with the end and the big reveal that the villain was the stereotypical evil gay guy who wants to be the hero’s lover. Gross. I am willing to jump back in and see where the third book takes me. Review to come.
Declared: An MM SciFi Alien Warrior Romance (Star Marked Warriors Book 2) by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes– 9/9 Gay Science Fiction– I discovered this book while compiling the new release post and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed! I slightly different take on the usual science fiction romance abduction trope, I’m looking forward to seeing what comes up in this series.
Protected by the Alien Bodyguard (A SciFi Alien Warrior Romance) (Mates of the Kaluma Book 2) by Ella Maven 9/10 Science Fiction Romance– Ella Maven continues on with her second spin-off series. I’ve been following the author on FB and her little snippets of these main characters already has me hooked and I haven’t even started reading yet.
A Lot Like Adios by Alexis Daria 9/14 Contemporary Romance– One of my most anticipated reads of the year, it features friends to lovers and second chance tropes and sounds delicious. Also, I’m pretty sure that is one of my favorite covers of the year. Review to come.
Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune 9/21 LGBT Fantasy – I read this book as soon as it hit my Kindle like four months ago. I couldn’t help myself. If you enjoyed last year’s The House in the Cerulean Sea then you will love this book too. The romance is softer and it’s not quite as funny, but it is a charming, profound book about grief and love. Review to come.
The One and Only Crystal Druid (The Guild Codex: Unveiled Book 1) by Annette Marie– 9/24 Urban Fantasy– This is another spin-off in the Guild Codex world and I am super excited to finally be getting Zak’s POV.
The Duchess Hunt (Once Upon a Dukedom Book 2) by Lorraine Heath 9/28 Historical Romance– Another ARC I read as soon as it hit my Kindle. Lorraine Heath just gets me every time. I think readers of the genre will enjoy this employer/employee, both main characters have secrets yet can’t keep their hands off each other romance. Review to come.
Jen: I have A Lot Like Adios on my TBR, too. Along with a few from my fave authors.
The Legacy by Elle Kennedy– 9/21 Sports Romance- I LOVE the Off Campus series. One of my all time favorites. Excited to catch up with the couples from previous books. This is four separate novellas in one book. The first book in the series, The Deal, is still free!
When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting– 9/21- Romantic Comedy- Another terrific author! Friends to lovers. The h is in a car accident and needs someone to care for her. Her guy friend with a playboy rep steps in to help out.
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling– 9/28- Holiday Romance- I have this ARC and it’s calling my name. It has a witches, ghosts and fall festival vibe. I’ll curl up with some spiked cider and dig in.
Deserted by Jaymin Eve– 9/28- Romantic Fantasy- This is book four in the Shadow Beast Shifters series. It’s a standalone and I really enjoyed the first three books. Enemies to lovers, it’s the story of Reece and Honor.
What are you looking forward to this month?

Although I’m bummed that neither Kati Wilde’s shifter romance, SHERIFF’S BAD BEAR, nor Katee Robert’s COHEN will make their release dates, among the books I’m really looking forward to in September are:
Tomorrow’s release of Sierra Simone’s SAINT, the next (after PRIEST, MIDNIGHT MASS, and SINNER) in her series about the Bell brothers and their spiritual, emotional, sexual angst, especially where the Catholic Church is concerned. SAINT is an m/m and, if I’m reading the blurb correctly, a second-chance romance.
Also looking forward to Skye Warren’s BEST KEPT SECRET (the third and final book in her Rochester trilogy, a modern retelling of JANE EYRE) and Amelia Wilde’s NET WORTH, which appears to be a “revenge” romance. Both of those are scheduled for September 14.
Serena Bell’s WALK ON THE WILDER SIDE, the second of her Wilder Adventures series about a family who runs an outdoor adventures company, arrives September 23. This was scheduled for November, so it’s a nice surprise that it’s arriving early.
Zoe York’s WILD AT HEART, the third in her Kinkaids of Pine Harbour series, arrives September 28. This one features antagonists-to-lovers on a road trip.

Are we sure the release date for the new Kati Wilde isn’t going to change? lol. I feel like all her stuff changes release date at least once.

You know I love Kati, but I have gotten to the point where I think of her release dates as “suggestions” not actualities—lol!

I am looking forward to the following:
Witch Please by Ann Aguirre. I am all about the witches this season.
I have really good things about The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun so that is on my list.
The Matzah Ball by Jean Meltzer. I am happy to read a holiday book that is not Christmas.
From y’alls list- I have A Lot Like Adios waiting for me. I read The Ex Hex already and it was super fun and cute!

I read and enjoyed Witches get Stitches by Juliette Cross.
And recently got my grabby hands on Big Witch Energy by Kelly Jamieson. I hope this is book one in a series because it was lots of fun.
Now I’ve gotten a taste I’m all about witch season. Thanks for these suggestions. They’re going on my tbr.
