Brooke Markham ruined my life on an unseasonably warm September night. She dismantled all the good sense I had with the simple command of “Take off your pants” and tore down the years of distance I’d put between us since high school. Since kissing her once and wanting more.
Brooke Markham needs a man. A real good man.
But she’s not looking for a keeper. She’s too busy kicking ass, running an empire, and caring for her ailing father to spend time with men who want annoying things like relationships and commitment and…conversation.
Brooke knows what she wants and it’s not a future with the growly barkeep.
JJ Harniczek needs money. A whole lot of money.
He’s determined to launch his distillery, expand his tavern, and put Talbott’s Cove on the foodie tourism map.
But there’s no way he’s asking Brooke for a dime. Not before he takes her to bed and definitely not after.
JJ knows where he’s headed and the blonde bombshell isn’t about to change that. Not until she changes his entire world.

She’s got some serious competition, though: Benjamin “Law” Lawson, local bar owner, Jerk Extraordinaire, and Maya’s annoyingly hot arch nemesis. Let the games begin.

Turns out there’s a thin line between hate and irresistible desire, and Maya and Law are really good at crossing it. But when things heat up, will they allow their long-standing feud to get in the way of their growing feelings?

THE RESTORER
Never acknowledge the dead.
Never stray far from hallowed ground.
Never get close to the haunted.
Never, ever tempt fate.
My name is Amelia Gray. I’m a cemetery restorer who sees ghosts. In order to protect myself from the parasitic nature of the dead, I’ve always held fast to these rules passed down from my father…until now.
Detective John Devlin needs my help to find a killer, but he is haunted by ghosts who shadow his every move. To warn him would be to invite them into my life. I’ve vowed to keep my distance, but the pull of his magnetism grows ever stronger even as the headstone symbols lead me closer to truth and to the gossamer veil that separates this world from the next.
The Restorer (The Graveyard Queen Book 1) by Amanda Stevens- $1.99 for a limited time. (One of my favorite series.)
DiscoDollyDeb says
FAR CRY is my absolute favorite Kate Canterbary romance. The heroine is rather prickly, the hero is grumpy/gruff and even love doesn’t completely smooth their rough edges. Also, a great female friendship between the heroine and her bestie (the heroine of HARD PRESSED), delicious food, and a lovely dog. Highly recommended.

Amazon tells me I bought this in 2020. Lol. I’ll have to move it up the TBR.
