Angela- It’s March! My birthday month! Which means I get all the books! And there are so many good ones coming. (You are going to laugh when you see how many books in March I’ve already read because I have no self-control.)
Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey 3/1 Contemporary Romance– I actually read this back in October when it first hit my Kindle and have zero regrets. I’ve loved meeting the Bellinger sisters and watching them fall in love and find their HEAs. This is Hannah and Fox’s story and it is fabulous. You won’t want to miss it. Review to come.
The Last Eligible Billionaire by Pippa Grant 3/3 Contemporary Romance– This author is hit or miss for me, but I recently read another upcoming release by her that has me interested again. From reading the blurb it sounds like a mash-up of grumpy/sunshine and fake dating.
Crowbones (World of the Others #3) by Anne Bishop 3/8 Fantasy– I’ve missed being in the world of The Others. Crowbones takes readers back to Sproing and The Jumble and catches up with Vicki Devine, Julian, and the Crowguard. This is another great mystery and I was glad to be along for the ride. These are the same characters from Lake Silence, just in case you want a memory refresh. Review to come
A Treacherous Trade (A Fiona Mahoney Mystery Book 2) by Kerrigan Byrne 3/8 Historical Mystery– This is Kerrigan Byrne’s historical mystery series and if you’ve enjoyed her romances I think you’ll enjoy these books too. Although, they do tend to be a bit bloodier. This series follows Fiona Mahoney and her quest to uncover the identity of Jack the Ripper.
If You Ask Me by Libby 3/8 Contemporary Romance/WF- I really enjoyed this author’s first novel, Meet Me in Paradise, which had me crying big ugly tears. This sounds like another CR/WF crossover with an advice columnist trying to figure out her life and find love again after a divorce. Review to come.
In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer 3/15 Contemporary Romance– I’ve already heard very good things about this contemporary romance/romantic comedy. I can’t wait to read this opposites-attract romance between a couple who have a very public meet-cute.
The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James 3/15 Gothic Mystery– Another great mystery with touches of the supernatural from Simone St. James. This book features a true crime blogger who gets the interview of a lifetime when she meets a woman acquitted of a series of murders decades earlier. Review to come.

I continue to be mesmerized by shiny new objects. Which doesn’t necessarily mean newly released objects, just new TO ME. With that in mind, here’s my TBR for March which is a mix of its out there and I’ve now been made aware of its existence books, and new releases.
Hook, Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey 3/1 Romantic Comedy– Book one, It Happened One Summer was a top read for me!! I loved Brendan and I’m prepared to love his bestie, Fox, as well. This is friends to lovers, set in the same charming fishing town. Fox is the ultimate player and about to be reeled in by Hannah, Piper (Book one)’s sister.
The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen 3/8 Domestic Thriller– I’ve seen buzz around this one and I’m intrigued. A perfect couple who looks to have it all find themselves in marriage counseling. They have dark secrets and their therapist is known for her unconventional methods. Her unique treatments have resulted in her using her license!
The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout 3/15 Fantasy Romance– this is the book I’m most excited to read!! This is book four in one of my most favorite series ever. It’s the perfect balance of plot and spice with great dialogue, adventure and swoonworthy heroes. I highly recommend the Blood and Ash series. Start with book one today.
In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer 3/15 Contemporary Fiction – confession, I have this ARC, started it and got distracted. See my previous note about shiny new objects. BUT, I was liking what I read so far. It has a super mortifying and funny meet cute with a couple who could not be more different. I plan to pick it up and blow through it.
Falls Boys by Penelope Douglas 3/21 New Adult Romance– I inhaled the Fall Away series and now Douglas is releasing the spin off featuring the kids of the characters in the first series. I love this-> “I surprised her. You should’ve seen her face. Just because I don’t have a record, honey, doesn’t mean I’m clean. It just means I’m better at not getting caught. That is until I realize I might’ve actually gone too far this time.”
Say you Swear by Meagan Brady 2/16 Sports Romance– I read and reviewed her Brayshaw High series. It was really good for awhile and then I was tired of it. If I remember right, I think it was like eating an entire bag of greasy chips vs just a few. Tasty at first, but I felt a bit sick at the end. With that said, my book club friend highly recommended this one. Angsty, first love sports romance, standalone with a passionate audience who claim this book boyfriend is the BB to end of all BBs. I will judge for myself…stay tuned.
What Lies Beyond the Veil by Harper L. Woods and Adelaide Forrest 2/22 Dark Fantasy– I saw this hyped big time on booktok and was immediately sold on it.
Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff 9/14/21 Dark Fantasy– One of my favorite fantasy booktokers loved this one. A story of legendary battles and forbidden love, of faith lost and friendships won, of the Wars of the Blood and the Forever King and the quest for humanity’s last remaining hope: The Holy Grail. It’s a very long book and I haven’t been able to commit just yet. I think March is the month for me. We’re doing a quick spring break trip and I hope to bang through a few books.

My Wrong Number by Lynn Painter – 3/1/22 – Romantic Comedy Sexting, bad luck, and beaucoup tropes, including “the younger sister of my best friend is all grown up, yum!”
Dating Dr. Dil by Nisha Sharma 3/15/22 Romantic Comedy – Meddling aunties have made an appearance in several books in recent years, and this is no exception. I saw the comparison in the blurb to Taming of the Shrew and “spicy tension” and will let you know what I find.
Escapeproof by Jo Chambliss – 3/22/22 Romance Thriller – So many Navy Seals, so little time. I am hoping there’s lots of competency and good decision making skills, along with a hot romance.

I’m really looking forward to the rerelease of Serena Bell’s three Under One Roof books: DO OVER, HEAD OVER HEELS, and SLEEPOVER (March 1, 15, and 29, respectively). The blurbs say these have been “lightly edited” since their original release dates. I didn’t read them the first time around, so I’m eager to read them now.
DUET by Julie Kriss (March 3): a rock-star romance from one of Romancelandia’s most underrated writers. I can trust Kriss to bring something new to even the most worn-out trope.
PUSHING THE LIMITS by Riley Hart (March 8): m/m involving adult step-brothers, one of whom has been pining for the other for a long time.
REWRITING THE STARS by Claire Kingsley (March 10): the long-awaited final book in Kingsley’s Bailey Brothers series features a Romeo & Juliet theme between MCs from two rival families. I’m glad that Kingsley—whose husband died unexpectedly last year—has felt strong enough to finish this wonderful series.
BEDHEAD by Brooke Blaine (March 15): antagonists-to-lovers m/m featuring rival publishers. This begins Blaine’s new Hate to Love You series.
LAST RESORT by Amelia Wilde (March 22): third and final book in Wilde’s Collectors Trilogy about a reclusive art collector and the innocent young artist he has “collected.” The first two books were very dark, and I’m not expecting that to change for book three.
ROMEO by Sybil Bartel (March 22): the next in Bartel’s Alpha Elite series romantic-suspense books set in Florida and featuring beyond-gonzo alpha heroes.
RETURN OF THE OUTBACK BILLIONAIRE by Kelly Hunter (March 29): the latest HP from the always-reliable Hunter. This features an ex-con hero who took the fall for a crime he did not commit. Should be all kinds of angsty. Can’t wait!
PARTIES by C.M. Nascosta (March 30, postponed from February): in this sequel to GIRLS WEEKEND, three female elves have to decide if the orcs they met on a girls’ weekend are going to be long-term relationship material.
And finally, as much as I liked Tessa Bailey’s IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER and Trish Doller’s FLOAT PLAN, paying $10.99 a piece for the ebooks of their follow-ups—HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER (March 1) and SUITE SPOT (March 8), respectively—is too rich for my blood. I’d like to read both of these books (the heroine in each is the sister of the previous book’s heroine), but unless my library has them, I won’t be reading them in March: I’ll be waiting for a sale.
So my TBR is huge now. Thank you. LOL
